Interesting choice of decor

The statuettes and vases are certainly not the only thing which lead me to a restaurant to eat, usually it is my ability to choose, which is also true of this establishment. In saying that, there were glass fishbowls filled with small bits of wood, and what seemed to be Christmas decorations; this... read more

Always enjoy this place every time we go! It's reasonably priced and for the most part, they have friendly and accommodating staff. We will continue to return here frequently :)

3of us went early on a Sat night ,first impressions it looks a bit rough more like a cafe than a restaurant. Cheap paper napkins and only 1 set of cutlery brought to the table.Don't bother asking for port they don't sell it.The food was nice and plenty of it.I ordered the platter but when it came it was missing... Not really a regular here, but we probably eat here two or three times a year. We've always been seated promptly. On this occasion, our visit was with children, during half term. Our server was fun and cheerful, she (I think her name was Sam) talked to the kids, gave each the crayons and activity sheet, and showed them the... More

I was just going to write about my experience at the priory harvester in Gloucester but thought I would check out the reviews first...wow! in six weeks 17 bad reviews and all for poor service and poorly cooked food. I went in a group of four adults at 7pm and on a Tuesday night, so a quiet night. Just as... More

We went for an evening meal and were told at 7.30 they had run out of jacket potatoes. My steak was a chunk, so it was burnt on the outside and Ok inside. Items of vegetables were missing. The manager came and tried to apologise for the meal, which we accepted as we will not be in Gloucester in the... More

We went to the Priory last night and the only advice that l can give to this revue is don't bother .The service was very poor and we waited over an hour and a half for our food. When one of the meals arrived it was dried up pasta and cremated chicken breast. The other three meals had still not... More

Harvester have certainly lost their way here. The restaurant looked tacky, we waited a long time to be seated, then a long time for our order to be taken. When the meal arrived it looked unappetising and wasn't very hot. This was just before 2pm, there seemed to be only 3 staff present to do all jobs, including serving at... More

Absolutely disgusting! Visited here last night for a meal with my partner and two friends! After trying to find a table as the majority of them were extremely dirty we were finally seated. Only 3 out of 4 of us had menus? No one came back over to take our order we had to get the waitresses attention! When choosing... More
