What a delightful experience this was visiting William and Victoria for the first time. We decided to have a cheeky Wednesday (school night) evening meal to find a packed and buzzing restaurant. Arriving for the first time to a rather blank looking door with no obvious signs about the restaurant was the only real drawback but the moment of confusion... More

Absolutely charming inside and the range of wines was impressive. Very friendly and welcoming staff and so cosy inside! We only went for drinks as we had a dinner reservation at another restaurant, but we'll definitely come back for the food on our next visit to Harrogate!

Dined here in the restaurant on Saturday for my husband's birthday and wasn't disappointed! I booked the restaurant after searching on Tripadvisor for places to eat in Harrogate. The Venison and Lamb were succulent and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Staff were very friendly and the ambience was cosy and busy without being noisy. At the end we... More

Thank you for your great review. All our meat is sourced locally and the Venison is from the Harewood Estate, just a few miles out of Harrogate. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Yorkshire. More

An amazing restaurant that has a great Set Menu. Walked by this restaurant a couple of times until I stopped and actually read the menu on the wall. While reading over the menu the Owner walks by (didnt know at the time) and stated "This is a great restaurant". Was he ever telling the truth. This is an excellent restaurant... More

I haven't been for a while and ignoring the dreadful parking Harrogate offers - it was well worth the tour around the back streets to find an hours free ! Haddock cooked perfectly, raspberry sweet to finish. Simple, elegant, well presented, on time and inexpensive - a place to eat for those in the know. Really very good indeed.

Sorry you had trouble parking on this occasion, normally there are sufficient free disc parking space up Cold Bath Road and on the side streets a little further up, where you can park for longer. I'm pleased the food made up for it and you enjoyed the crispy battered haddock, chips and mushy peas and a taste of raspberries: jelly,... More

Having dined here many times in the past, both in the bar and restaurant I was looking forward to going back. We weren’t disappointed! The food was excellent and the service was good too. My Raspberry dessert was fantastic and a nice way to finish a tasty meal.

We are fortunate in have some fantastic staff, many who have worked at W&V in excess of ten years. It is often down to their hard work and dedication as to why we are able to offer consistently great food and service. Thank you for your continued support and custom. More

Returned to William & Victoria Wine Bar after a break of many years but it used to be a really regular haunt. I was worried I would be disappointed, especially as I had been encouraging my partner to go because it was so good. But there was no need to worry. Excellent, friendly but unobtrusive service. Beautiful food and lovely... More

We dined here As a party of four on August bank holiday sun. We had prebooked seen reviews on t. A . Before our stay in harrogate . Owner very welcoming ,though not called william lol. Thank you for your review. I'm pleased you enjoyed your Sunday lunch in the wine bar, there was a very 'enthusiastic' lunch party in that day, but glad it didn't spoil your enjoyment. William & Victoria Restaurant was named after the previous owners children; William and Victoria. They went on to run the restaurant in the seventies and then my... More
