Never been before but really impressed by the staff and food. The waitress was especially friendly and helpful, the food was particularly good I had the grilled asparagus with poached egg to start with and then the Malayan chicken followed by raspberry bake well tart. Everything was extremely good. We weren't rushed and felt the timing of the courses was... More

We passed this restaurant on our walk into town on a Saturday afternoon and after checking out the menu we decided to book a table for that evening and luckily for us they had room. We arrived about 7.15pm and there were a few people eating but it got a lot busier by 8pm, with a few people being turned... More

Nice food and menu. Reasonably priced food/wine menu. Good service. Inside quite dark, but welcoming.

Booked here on recommendation and weren't disappointed.Warm welcome and staff all very friendly.Jazz music played all night (Monday) which we enjoyed.Food was good but not superb, lacked flavour but desserts were delicious. The ambience is really what makes this place.

We stopped here for lunch during a day out in Harrogate. It was Sunday lunchtime but it was very quiet. We both had a starter and a main and the food was delicious. We shared starters (smoked mackerel pate and deep fried brie) and they were both really good. There was a gentleman playing keyboard and singing, which was a... More

I went to this restaurant a few days ago and had a most enjoyable meal. The live music was entertaining but not imposing. The wine list was excellent and not too costly. The menu was small but varied. The food arrived promptly and was well cooked and presented. The staff were attentive and the overall ambience was very enjoyable. I... More

We loved the atmosphere of the place and the service was great! However, the food sadly did not live up to our expectations. The duck leg was heavy and tasteless, sauce/gravy was bland, and the vegetables (carrots, broccoli, and green beans) were boring. The pork tenderloin looked promising, but was also bland. The saving grace was dessert--the Black Forest chocolate... More

Have already written a glowing review for this hotel on Trip Advisor. Could not fault the food, nor the service. Meals well presented. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

We booked a table 8pm and were told on arrival that the table was not ready, we didn't mind having a drink whilst we waited but we weren't seated until 8.30 which was disappointing (a free drink at least would have appeased) Despite being advertised as a 'summer menu' the food was very much geared towards winter, all very heavy... Came upon the place by accident and liked the look-what a bonus! £21 a head,2 course menu and spoilt for choice. The pork was excellent and partner said the same of the salmon, a nice wine topped it off along with the service. Thank you.
