great food lovely environment

We went here as a party of 4 on a cold Monday evening and had the early bird menu whilst listening to soft jazz. For the price the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The setting is also pretty cool, very dark wood but warm. No complaints whosoever.

If you enjoy nice (but expensive) food served with a level of rudeness I've seldom encountered, then this is the place for you. The chef should find a job in a different restaurant in which his food is served in manner that does justice to his skill. Avoid.

The food is great, the atmosphere is great and the live music is great. What else do you need for a good night out.

On our third night of DB&B at our hotel I wanted a change and happened upon this place during the day so booked a table for the evening (good move as if was completely full when we got there) Great atmosphere, food was excellent, service was excellent despite being so busy, the five piece jazz band were really good. Chatted... More

Made a reservation the week before and could only get in for the 'early bird' which was fine as knew they would be busy on valentine's day. Two courses for £15 and the choices were very good, grilled goats cheese & deep fried brie to start and then both opted for lamb for main course. Live music added to the... More

Haven't been for a while and was looking forward to another lovely meal. A shame then that the food was average and the pasta dish was not great with cheap pasta and far too much cream. Lovely atmosphere created a very relaxed environment to enjoy our drinks but sorry to say that it failed on the delivery of the food.... More

We ate here after finding Le Bistro Pierre packed out at 6.30 on a January Sat evening. We were kindly squeezed into a table by the kitchen, however we asked to move as the cooking fumes took your breath away!! The menu had some nice choices and we all found dishes we liked. The belly pork was crisp as promised,... More

A lunch for a lot of people can sometimes be hit or miss, well this was definitely a hit. The choice was extensive and there was a lot that hit the spot with my fellow diners. The service was excellent as was the pace; we were all served together, each course. The ambiance and decor is great and in a... More

Having been unsuccessful in getting a table in this restaurant the last time were in Harrogate we made sure we reserved a table earlier in the day. The restaurant was very busy and justified our decision to reserve a table. The setting and furniture within the restaurant was interesting and a real talking point. There was live unobtrusive music provided... More
