Description: BED... Run and owned by a bike nut... Loves talking bikes and all things...
BED... Run and owned by a bike nut... Loves talking bikes and all things bike related and is as giddy as a kipper at the impending arrival of the 2014 Tour de France...Cant wait to meet you all :-) BED - which stands for Burnsey Eat Drink - is a superb and super-friendly restaurant on the Kings Road in Harrogate. Spread over three floors in a beautiful Georgian manor, BED has a bar on the ground floor and two separate dining rooms decorated in kooky colours. The cosy, unpretentious vibe and quirky sense of humour woven into the dcor and the menu at BED makes this restaurant feel like a home away from home. All food is cooked fresh to order, and the restaurant boasts a selection of over 40 wines and Champagnes. We love the burgers; the lime seared scallops; and the lamb marinated in honey and mint served on a bed of crushed new potatoes.

A complete gem!

I took my American grandparents here and we all absolutely loved it! I am a ceoliac (gluten intolerant) and they were so good for gluten free! The owner was lovely and even gave me a card for a website that had ceoliac and gluten free restaurant reviews so I'd always know where I could eat, which... read more

Lovely food, great service and a fun quirky menu. Slight mix up with our order resulting in another table receiving our side dishes. No problem to us as we were thoroughly enjoying our mains and in no rush. We soon had them and they were taken off our bill without us even mentioning it. Great customer service and look forward... Our evening out started well even before we got there because B.E.D's Dave was really communicative and helpful about the booking and a food allergy (which was dealt with without any fuss). 8 of us had a lovely evening with delicious food and were really well looked after. Thank you, Dave and team.

fantastic food with a good range (including for vegetarians) of delicious meals to choose from. Great ambience and excellent service. Good value and just all around brilliant. I just wish we lived a bit nearer so we could go more often!

Have only been to B.E.D for lunch but have always had great food there. Good selection of vegetarian dishes as well as meat options. Food is simple but excellent. Dave the owner is very friendly and if you have any interest in cycling he has some great stories about when the TdF in Yorkshire. In fact the ground floor is... More

My wife and I visited for my birthday on a Saturday evening. Dave and his staff were very welcoming and the food was superb. Great to see the quirky cycle theme (being a bike geek myself) and Dave very kindly gave me a box of commemorative 'French Yorkshire Tea' from Le Grand Depart. Will visit again on our next trip... Fabulous time in Bed tonight! The food was spot on, scallops on a bed of butternut puree followed by 'Rumpy Pumpy' best homemade chips, proper job done on the onion rings! Hubbie enjoyed the 'Potato Pockets' starter and said he could eat them every night! Bed owner Dave has got the mix just right, friendly staff, attentive but not intrusive,... More
