Sea Food Heaven

My wife booked this place as a suprise for my Birthday, as usual it is a bit cosy bordering on cramped when full. WOW WOW a wonderful feast of sea food excellence. From the minute you walk in the staff made us feel welcome, on a rainy December evening this was just the place to eat... We had... read more

My wife and I eagerly anticipated our visit on Saturday night for the first time in over 20 years. We were disappointed. For starters my wife had a prawn cocktail and I had king scallops and both were good. For main course we each had halibut which was served with risotto containing brown shrimps. The fish was slightly overcooked and... More

The atmosphere was great. Well lit, well decorated and was quick to be seated. After a few minutes of deciding on drinks, I ordered a ginger ale. The waitress asked me if I wanted ice, to which I replied no. A few minutes later, I received my drink to find three large ice cubes in my half pint glass. I... More

We had scallops and Thai curry, which was excellent, we also had 3 bottles of wine as it was a special occasion. Waiter thought our tip was light and said so, won't be going back. Food excellent

This is a lovey dining place with an intimate atmosphere - whether you sit upstairs or down. Probably the best fish restaurant in the area it offers a great menu and daily specials and a good wine list. Their house champagne at £5.95p a glass is superb. You deifinately need to book as its always busy. Staff are very friendly... More

OH and I were attending a wedding on the Saturday in Harrogate and as we've wanted to try the Drum for some time we decided to stay over on the Friday night. Our welcome was warm and friendly and we asked if we could have a drink at the bar which was not a problem at all as the table... More

Having read recent reviews and after experiencing a poor meal a few years ago I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. We were a table of four on a busy Saturday evening and the food and service were all of a high quality....the Turbot and paella special was excellent. Why not top marks? The tables are too... More

Years ago this place was the place to be seen in Harrogate and had an excellent reputation. Nobody ever talks about it now and based on this visit I can see why. Firstly the website advertised an Early Bird until 8pm. At 7.30 we were not offered this menu as "we do that until 6.45" When I suggested to the... More
