A smashing little place

There is nothing nicer than sitting with a good coffee and a newspaper whiling away a little time...and this is a grand place to do just that. They make a lovely soya cappuccino for the non dairy folks and sometimes have a little ND cake too. We went in twice in our 3 day breaks it must be good.

I often go here on my lunch break. It's a small friendly cafe that does the best coffee. Each day they have three coffees you can choose from including a decaf option. The staff are friendly and really know their stuff when it comes to coffee, they are happy to advise you which coffee works best with what drink ie... More

Never mind Best Coffee in Harrogate... Best Coffee I've had since moving up North. Small, quirky 'Coffee Houses'/Coffee Shops/Cafés are most definitely the best. Why would you support corporations when you can feed local, independent businesses? Especially businesses which support smallholders and other 'local' providers. Harrogate, you've done me proud. Long live the Bean & Bud: - Friendly, approachable and... More

I called in here today when making a short visit to Harrogate: I had visited once previously. It was a real treat - the coffee was excellent again. I'd drink coffee there every week - maybe every day! - if I lived locally.

We've started to make this a monthly thing as the coffee is so great and the staff so lovely. We love spending time here and our last visit was just as good as the first - keep up the good work guys!

Grabbed a coffee to go from Bud & Bean one chilly morning. Fantastic service with passionate baristas in the know. Coffee was good too!

We don't drink coffee but the place is recommended as amazing for it. We did have the hot chocolate which comes in a variety of mixes through to extra dark. It was sublime. The cakes are superb. The brownie was light and moist, the ginger cake with crystallised ginger on top was outstanding. Well worth a visit.

We loved the simplicity of this café. Serious coffee, professionally prepared and poured, and served by knowledgeable staff, who bring it to your table. We tried the flat white, the fliter, and the aeiopress ( yes we actually paid two visits, more if we had been in Harrogate longer). In addition to this, there wasn't the frippery of Panini's/soups/toasted sandwiches.... More

Second time I've been to this cafe today 10 Jan. They obviously know their coffee. Today there were 4 staff behind the counter. The wait was far too long and service all a bit patronising. Doubt I'll go back as there are many more options in Harrogate in lighter, more welcoming, less cramped premises.

Thank you for visiting Bean & Bud and I am sorry you found service slow. As you visited on the first Saturday after Christmas, it was extremely busy, as most of our Saturdays tend to be. Additionally, customers do tend to arrive in batches, so we are quite often juggling a lot of orders. As you say, our coffee is... More

We fell on this gem of a coffee house by accident, the coffee is divine and we learnt a lot about coffee. If you visit Harrogate and like a good coffee not your high street rubbish from the chain you must visit Ruth & Hayden at the Bean & Bud. Ps thank you for your help.
