We loved the simplicity of this café. Serious coffee, professionally prepared and poured, and served by knowledgeable staff, who bring it to your table. We tried the flat white, the fliter, and the aeiopress ( yes we actually paid two visits, more if we had been in Harrogate longer). In addition to this, there wasn't the frippery of Panini's/soups/toasted sandwiches.... More

Second time I've been to this cafe today 10 Jan. They obviously know their coffee. Today there were 4 staff behind the counter. The wait was far too long and service all a bit patronising. Doubt I'll go back as there are many more options in Harrogate in lighter, more welcoming, less cramped premises.

Thank you for visiting Bean & Bud and I am sorry you found service slow. As you visited on the first Saturday after Christmas, it was extremely busy, as most of our Saturdays tend to be. Additionally, customers do tend to arrive in batches, so we are quite often juggling a lot of orders. As you say, our coffee is... More

We fell on this gem of a coffee house by accident, the coffee is divine and we learnt a lot about coffee. If you visit Harrogate and like a good coffee not your high street rubbish from the chain you must visit Ruth & Hayden at the Bean & Bud. Ps thank you for your help.

and isn't extortionate. I have been going here since it first opened. I have never looked back. I love my specialty tea's and this place offers an extensive range. To go with that lovely home made sandwiches made from fresh ingredients and bread from a local bakery. Then there are the home made cakes. Ruth makes some mean homemade cakes!... More

That these guys have won multiple awards of late isn't suprising. Everything is of the highest quality. Both teas and coffees are rotated on a regular basis so there is always something new to try. The sandwiches and cakes are excellent too. Their product knowledge is first rate and I am yet to be disappointed by trying out something more... More

Fantastic little coffee shop a little off the beaten track but well worth seeking out. Great coffees, hot chocolate and lovely cakes and pastries. Nice, very cool laid back place, great indie style soundtrack in the background and papers to read. I do use other coffee shops in Harrogate - there are loads - but for me this is up... More

In my opinion this is the only place to get decent coffee in Harrogate. The couple who run it take pride in there service and beverages! The best thing about bean and bud is it's not like any other coffee house in Harrogate.... And it plays belle and Sebastian. Good taste in coffee and music. Makes a mean chai latte!

We stopped in on a whim and had coffee, tea and sandwiches. It's rare to find a place that can make coffee that doesn't require sweetening and this place is one of them. The locally sourced sandwich fillings are incredible. I absolutely loved the beetroot chutney on my ham sandwich.

Popped in a few weeks ago on a Friday morning.Noticed cafe nearby heaving inside and out and Bean and Bud empty so decided to go in there after reading some reviews. Realized why it was empty but unfortunately too late. The woman behind the counter just stood there no welcome or any other conversation.Asked for coffee with cream but was... More
