Lovely and good value.

We stopped in here on our day out in Harrogate and I'm so glad we did, the staff were so lovely and friendly, made us feel really welcome. We only had some tea and a snack ( I had marmite on toast, I was over the moon that it was on the menu) but we enjoyed what we had. When... read more

Have been here several times, but not for a couple of years, and always been pleased with the food & surroundings. But today called in for a bit of lunch, 1st, floor area we found to be in desperate need of a bit of paint & refurbishment, it has a few cobwebs in the cornice too! Not been done for... More

I found the restaurant a relaxing place to have a pot of tea and slice of cake. It's perfect for couples and families to go and relax rather than wait for Betty's. A goldmine with a name to trust

We arrived at about 2.30pm and were asked to find a table upstairs and then come back down to order. The only table free had not been cleared, it remained uncleared and uncleaned until our order arrived, even then it was not even wiped. The staff ignored the previous customer's mess on our table preferring to clear other tables vacated... More

We had previously enjoyed a cream tea at Betty's and decided to try another cafe for lunch a few days later. We walked down Montpellier Parade viewing what other cafes had to offer. We came across Farrah's chocolate shop and noticed that there was a cafe upstairs. After climbing the somewhat steep staircase to the first floor, we chose a... More

We had a very good lunch of soup and sandwich for £6.95 and a pot of tea on our recent visit to Harrogate. The spicy parsnip soup was just the thing on a wet lunchtime and both the ham sandwich and the yorkshire cheese sandwich went down a treat. The young staff were all friendly and efficient. We would definitely... More

We went here because we have a Tastecard, so booked ahead. When we arrived the cafe was full, although our table was ready. I chose the smoked salmon pate, with side salad, and this also came with lovely bread. The pate was served in a little cup, beautifully presented & very tasty. My Husband had the pork, sage & apple... More

We settled here after first trying several other 'cafes' and we were so happy we found it. The food here was extremely tasty and very reasonably priced. i took up the daily offer of treacle tart with pouring cream and a filter coffee. You are given various choices which all help to provide a perfect cuppa. The flavoured hot chocolate... More

There is lots of competition for tea room trade in Harrogate, but lots of demand so most thrive as this one does. You reach the tea room up the stairs so not sure how accessible it is for wheelchair users. It's absolutely fine for snacks and drinks

Having been disappointed with a visit to Betty's we were impressed with this tea room. Only called in for tea and a slice of cake but received a friendly welcome and quick service. It was busy when we were there but all the staff were working well together and nobody appeared to be kept waiting. Good value and definately will... More
