I had originally planned to take my mother to Betty's during our trip to Harrogate, but they do not cater for people who are lactose intolerant. So I found this place on the internet, as it catered for gluten free and dairy free customers. Also there was no need to queue - unlike Bettys. My mother had hot chocolate made... More

The Palm Court Cafe is in a peculiar location above a sweet shop with a basic, cosy interior aimed at the older generation. We visited in April using our tastecard and had a positive experience. Food was basic but tasted good (the cheese pudding was delicious) but the value for food is amazing even without the tastecard. We had 2... More

The Palm Court Cafe has fabulous home baked food. Ideal for a quick coffee and scone or tasty lunch.i love the old decor and relaxed atmosphere. The only disadvantage is the stairs for the more infirm. Much better value than Betty's but not quite the same for people watching!

We went with a social living voucher which gave incredible value for money. Even without this the prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food excellent. Much cheaper and much nicer than another better known establishment at the top of the hill. The cafe is upstairs above Farrah's shop and is very pleasant and comfortable. The service was... More

Great friendly service from professional people. We entered the cafe and made use of a voucher purchase from one of those sites. We enjoyed the wonderful pleasant waitress who explained everything and order far more that you should for lunch. The Palm Court ploughman was excellent but could have done with a larger plate as there was so much. Attentive... More

We had lunch at the palm Court today with some friends. The establishment is on the first floor above Farrah's sweet shop. It was initially busy and we waited even further upstairs (we could have eaten up there) but a window table became free and we moved back down. I had an excellent soup and the rest of the group...
