Dairy Free Cake Fest

I always find it miserable going to tea shops with friends as I am lactose intolerant and cannot eat any of the goodies on offer. The Palm Court was heaven for me since there was a plethora of dairy free cakes and quiches on offer. I had a sumptuously, moist carrot cake and my friend had a divine... read more

A very relaxing late lunch/afternoon-tea, I chose the home-made soup (carrot & coriander), followed by home-made coffee & walnut cake. Both absolutely yummy! Tried the iced elderflower tea, which was different, but refreshing. If I lived locally, I might just be in here every day! Then just the small matter of the wonderful food hall downstairs - so difficult to... More

We stumbled across this little place to get out of the rain and to my delight there were many gluten free options. I was able to have my first quiche since being gluten free, followed by a yummy and generously-sized homemade Bakewell tart. Lovely service and quirky location too.

This was a fabulous find. Perched above a sweet shop, it doesn't exactly shout its presence. but go upstairs and peace reigns. The cake selection was extensive and they all looked almost too good to eat. The tea and coffee selection was comprehensive and was all served in a calm, friendly manner. No need to queue, no need to break... More

A real gem above Farrahs Food Hall and Toffee Shop. Do seek this old world charm out a step back in time to the grand old days of Noel Coward. The teas and coffees are incredible value for money (£1.60 range) so much better than paying around £4 - £4+ for tea and coffee at Betty's. Great staff, friendly and... More

This place is a delight, so with it when it comes to dietary trends but so traditional in its politeness and loveliness. I do not eat carbs so ordered the chicken sandwich without the bread, immediate understanding led to me having a gorgeous carb free plate with NO fuss. Very delicious it was too. Lovely girl serving, smiling and helpful.... More

Use this lovely little tea rooms every time I visit Harrogate. The food is on a par with Bettys and at a fraction of the cost.Scones are particularly good.I would highly recommend the food and the service. There is also a good range of chocolates, cakes and gifts available at the shop on the ground floor.

Lovely fresh scones and coffee, nice shop below for gifts, and at a reasonable price, only downside up a creaky flight of stairs and ladies be prepared to wait for toilet

Great, freshly made food, very reasonable prices and friendly staff. They do takeaways and there's a shop below to buy all your souvenirs on the way out.

A very pleasant cafe. We had a light lunch, pate for my wife and the pork pie ploughmans for me, both were good and reasonably priced. We followed up with cakes and coffee, the cakes were equally good, the cappuccinos a bit small but good. Total bill came to just over £18 which we thought was quite reasonable. A very... More
