We have eaten at this bistro many times and have to say the food is absolutely beautiful, always hot and have never had any complaints about the food. The service is excellent. It is extremely excellent value for money.

Quite the most basic food, really pub stuff, the sort of food you could do yourself. cheap but when you get the food you know why. Staff friendly but cannot make up for the Stone Age cuisine. Come on - this is Harrogate - get your act together, make some effort with food! The place needs decorating, paint is filthy.... More

I hate writing reviews where I have to be critical - you can see from all my reviews that I am positive and I do try to find a positive and in this case it was the staff but as I was there to eat, that was the problem. The food is bland and unimaginative and yet the place sells... More

Stopped by for lunch and had the soup and sandwiches. They obviously ran out of soup so just kept adding water until we were served the worst tasting soup I've ever had - murky water basically. Won't be going back.

Stopped for a light lunch on a Sunday. Smiling greeting and offered a choice of tables. Service throughout was pleasant, friendly and efficient. Had the specials "soup and sandwich" and "large Yorkshire pudding with beef". Both tasted home cooked and we enjoyed them although soup could have done with more seasoning( but that's a matter of taste). Good basic food.

Chose this restaurant as it was close to the hotel I was staying at and because I had a 25% discount off the food bill by being a delegate at the HIC in Harrogate. Visited here last year too. Even without the discount a 3 course meal was only £12.95. Really nice food, could fault nothing. Quite small but quaint.... More

I went for lunch with a friend and ordered the Greek salad. It was very poor compared to the salad my friend ordered with smoked salmon and prawns. A bit of lettuce, a few pieces of feta, a couple of olives and a bit of cucumber and tomato. There were a couple of slices of French bread thrown in. Hardly... More

This was like finding a nugget of gold. Situated on two floors, this was a very busy but small place. Well worth booking a table if you plan to eat there everynight which we did. There are two ladies(sometimes 3)serving and they did an excellent job and were very attentive. Cannot rate this bistro highly enough. The only blimp was they... More

Visited on a Thursday night, we had booked and glad we did as it was busy. We had the 3 courses for 12.95 all courses were very nice. Staff were friendly and a good atmosphere was created by a table of deutch friends who burst into song which was really nice. To top off a good evening we used our... More

Slightly hidden away at the bottom of Montpellier Parade this establishment looks like a café on the ground floor but down the stairs and there is the Bistro. Very friendly service and good food presentation. If they cut their margins on the drinks ( a practice which seems to have got out of hand ) I suggest they will sell... More
