An epicureans dream is how our Chinese restaurant has been described by one food magazine. Everything from the hand painted wash bowls in the toilets to the imported finest quality furniture has be meticulously hand picked to make The Royal Baths the very best restaurant it can be. We have spent in excess of 1.5 million pounds on the interior, maintaining the styles of the famous baths. Our chefs have come from the very best restaurants from around the world to bring you the delights of the East. We serve traditional food as well as cuisine you may not have seen before. The Royal Baths will astound both your eyes and your taste buds.

The restaurant itself is amazing with fabulous architecture. We had a lovely meal, the food was delicious. The prawn toast was the best I've ever had. The staff were very attentive. It was expensive, but worth it.

This is a must for visitors to Harrogate. The food was excellent but the location is what makes this restaurant the place you really should visit. We were served well as a table for two but it was great to see the efficiency with which much larger groups were dealt with. A lovely evening.

food and service absolutely brilliant. and the decor was stunning glad they'd not renovated and made it look tacky, the old place was a spa and they have kept it original looking. we weren't sure what beers were on offer but the waiter recommended the chinese beer which was very nice not too gassy as some beers can be. (needed... More

The food and service were excellent. A good selection of both cocktails and food. I really liked the surroundings and felt that the designers had incorporated the original purpose as a spa into a restaurant. Reservations probably a good idea.

Booked here for four of us couple of days in advance. Unfortunately they could not find my booking, although I could confirm with my mobile when I booked. Either way they got us a table without too much fuss. Sat for pre meal drink in bar which was very nice with good selection. For meal we chose one of the... More

Went with our daughter and a set menu for three which included a crispy duck course. Every scrap of food was delicious and we devoured everything. We had been before and loved the location but we're underwhelmed by the food but this time it was outstanding. Very impressed and will return for sure.

This restaurant is set in the historic Harrogate Royal Baths Building. Décor is quite unique, it was like eating in a museum rather than a Chinese restaurant. Very quirky! Food was excellent. We had two noodle dishes, Crispy Peking duck and Dim Sum prawn dumplings. Waiting staff were excellent; friendly, attentive and quick. A unique setting and although not cheap,... More

Fourth and worst visit to this restaurant for the Sunday buffet, crispy duck was burnt and just scraps left and chicken satay and chicken in black bean were also depleted, none were refilled whilst we were there, (although I saw staff open lids and check) when we went for dessert the Eton mess was totally empty, at this stage we... The Chinese is set within the very impressive Royal Baths, a grand building in the centre of Harrogate. When we arrived we went to the bar just to the right of the entrance, it is very nicely laid out but somehow seemed a little claustrophobic, I suspect due to the lack of windows. The service was prompt and excellent and... More

Fantastic location different . Very attentive staff got very well looked after . Food was extremely tasty especially the Dim Sum and crispy chicken and sweet chilli sauce . Note though they do add on 20% surcharge without asking .
