Wish I'd a discovered this place sooner. Lots of fun and happy people here. I had their Thai food and it was yummy, the house brewed beer (Ale to be specific) was worth a second glass or three.

We visited the Brewery Tap on Friday 6th June with the intention of eating. However after a non friendly welcome from the bar staff followed by verging on rude service whilst being seated at a tale, we decided not to continue our experience at this place, walked out and had a lovely meal in the Banyan Tree. This could be... More

Always been a fan of the brewery tap, especially for drinking with friends. However, I wouldn't go for a sit down meal again - but it is good for a quick snack. The food is just nowhere near as good as imperial bentos and the set price menu is a similar price. My advice go for a drink.

Good beer, good food and a very nice atmosphere. Didn't seem that expensive either. They make their own beer but you also have a choice of others

From the outside this place looks very drab from the main road, but when you go inside you are met with a fantastic aura. The original TUN's have been retained and there is an upper floor for eating. There is a good selection of local real ales available and you must try the Tai food as this is excellent.

We have been to The Brewery Tap several times and it delivers on good Thai food and lots of delicious beer. The service is average but the atmosphere is pretty good. We definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back. The curries are excellent and so are the soups. Give it a try!

The food we had was lovely hut the service was slow and having had great service all day, it wasn't up there. The portions weren't huge to look at but between two of us we had prawn crackers (you pay for them which is unusual but the portion was great), sharing starter, one rice and a curry and a stir-fry... Just had a very nice lunch and really good beer. The food came very quickly, the service was pleasant. And what an excellent use for an old Labour Exchange. I used to work in one. I'm really surprised at the negative comments - my experience was the opposite.

If I could give this a zero I would. We visited the Brewery Tap on 2/5/2014. The menu looked good so we booked a table for 7pm. We went and came back well before 7pm. On ordering, 2 mains and no starters, we were told it would be a thirty minute wait. When we asked why, were told the restaurant... More

Large but still cosy bar with character & good restaurant. Been here a number of times now. Bar service is good/friends. The food is fresh and original. I little bit more expensive than some other places but very good value for money given the class.
