Pleasant surroundings

A pleasant pub with average menu. Carvery was a little disappointing not enough choice. Setting was very picturesque with squirrels climbing up the trees.

Our visit was terrible from start to finish on placing our order at the bar grumpy with glasses treated us as a inconvenient , then they brought out my partners starter with her main course! After having a lovely walk with the dog at Ferry meadow we decided to have Sunday lunch out. The Ramblewood Inn allows dogs in the bar area. We had the carvey very disappointing, it was ok at the best. Apart from ordering our food and paying at the bar, no one spoke to us just each other behind the bar.... More

met up with friends for a lunchtime meal,pleasant lady behind the bar who made us very welcome.three of us had the carvery one had the beef,had two slices of beef with my carvery could have had three,glad I didn,t ,two was plenty, nicely cooked slightly pink,loads of different veg,all in all very good will be returning.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with rudeness as we stood waiting to be seated the man standing there didn't even acknowledge us and carried on calling people and then went and spoke to other staff. He then went and asked another staff member if there was a table for 4 and she said a table hasn't... More

Decided to eat here on the first night while staying in the Orton Hall Hotel. Wouldn't recommend it! The menu was quite limited. The staff were polite but not very attentive. We had a family meal there New Year's Day. We were very impressed with the selection on offer. All the food was execelently presented and tasted beautiful. The service was good and attentive but not intrusive. We will be back..

We had our lunch here today. There were 3 adults and one toddler. We were greeted by the waitress and shown to our table. Lovely place to eat and drink winter in side by the fire and summer outside. Very f riendly staff and home made food freshly cooked and party are catered for .
