Indifferent standards!!

A lovely setting for a Pub & Restaurant. A nice place to go for a drink and sit outside in the beer garden and relax and in the winter inside by the fire. For food its better to go at lunch when its quiet. Service on a Sundays is POOR!!! 2 1/2 hours for a Sunday lunch, some excuse of... read more

We were staying nearby and we had been here before and it was good then. A very disappointing visit this time. The beer garden is s mess! One table we looked at was covered in bird poo. A total disgrace. Managed to find another table which then appeared to be a thorough fair! We shared a fish platter which was... More

The pub is great. The food is excellent. It's child friendly and set in a great location. Why oh why would management not sort the service out? The people that serve are really lovely but they just leave you all night and it takes ages (no matter what time you go) to go from course to course. We've been a... More

I spent a couple of evenings here recently and I can recommend this Pub if you are in the vicinity. A small selection of ales, but they are well kept. This is a Vintage Inn, so the menu is as expected, but both the food and service were good. I ate in the bar area and spent a relaxing hour... More

My partner and I visited this pub after I had driven past it and thought it looked nice. The beer garden is pleasant as is the location but the rest of our experience was disappointing. We visited for lunch in a Sunday. The menu was pretty limited, especially for vegetarians so my partner had to order a collection if side... More

As The Cuckoo was just around the corner it made an ideal place to go for a quick lunch with colleagues. Being able to preorder meant that there was no faffing with menus on arrival and food was ready quickly. It doesn't have any of that pub chain feel but nor does it carry the price tag of an independent.... More

Come here regularly. Good service, nice garden, lovely food, good value but not clean enough! Come on guys, your menus are revolting to handle and the chairs in the garden need the bird mess removed.

Had a fabulous meal for my dad's 50th birthday. We arrived to a bustling and very busy pub, had expected delays and long waiting times, how wrong! We were seated immediately and menus were issued by a lovely young lady (sorry we didn't get your name) our waitress for the evening (again sorry for not catching your name) took our... More

Visited on a weeknight, only one person behind the bar and a couple of staff in the resturant and it was busy. We had booked a table as it was my Birthday but the wait at the bar for drinks and the slow service for food tainted the evening. Quality of food and drink was good but you need to... More
