I am in to my steaks and this pub serves some of the best. The farmer is named, he raises and butchers the Angus/Hereford cross locally. it is hung for 30 days. And cooked perfectly. Our group ordered Rib-eyes and T-bones cooked to different tastes from medium to "blue" and all were very satisfied. A nice option was a Roquefort... More

Great service, amazing roast beef and great kids menu - topped up with a great external courtyard which is a fantastic sun trap!

My husband had been to this pub before for his Christmas party and said the food was good so we thought we would go back but this time we were all disappointed. The meals are overpriced for what they serve. The steak was small and served with a small bowl of chips which were not homemade. For £17 we would... More

Before you pay overpriced beer and food at Bristol airport think about this place. Lovely food and lovely beer at decent prices. Three courses for £16 is worth considering. Good ambience of a local country pub.

went for lunch on a quiet monday, good looking menu if a little expensive overall. However we chose to have the lunch meal deal and food was very well cooked and presented and beer and service as good as is to be expected. we shall return to see if some of the a la carte dishes justify their price tag.

We decided to visit the bear and swan because of good reviews, we were lead to believe we were paying a high price for a good quality meal. I ordered the tbone steak as recommended medium rare and ended up with a very well done (burnt) small tbone. As for triple cooked chips, I dont think so. Drinks are extremely... More

We have visited this pub many times to treat elderly parents to lunch. Service is always very good, and the choice of food is excellent, with an extensive menu which will suit most people. The quality of the food is solid and always well presented, portion sizes are large. A good wine list, too. The atmosphere of the place is... More

Good service from staff. Food and atmospher good. however could not give five star as not as good value lunch as we had in Druids Arms on the weekend. Garden needs clearing of rubbish.

We are very lucky to be able to call the Bear & Swan our local. It is right next door to another pub but we find the B & S more of a pub (as opposed to a restaurant) and less formal than its neighbour. For us, with a toddler, it offers a friendly and welcoming environment with the option... More

Welcoming Somerset Inn easily drivable from Bristol and Bath. Ales are Fullers and Butcombe. Meals are based on traditional English pub meals but were of a high quality.
