We dined here last Saturday night . It is necessary to make reservations for weekends . The food was well served and of good quality . A visiting hen party of some 12 ladies was rather noisy but they were obviously having a good time. The bill included a bottle of wine , which we had not ordered , however... More

Anyone wanting just a food in the bar area or a celebration meal in the restaurant you will not be disappointed, the setting is lovely. Its not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and that's good food and good service in a lovely Country Village Location.

Astonishingly poor service, especially given the high prices - the waitress couldn't even be bothered to pour our wine (which turned out to be the wrong bottle anyway). The pub has an open plan layout, so when the locals began rather drunken, tuneless singing we couldn't hear ourselves speak - not what you expect when you are paying £20 for... More

We have been here several times but today's visit was disappointing. The roast beef was very, very tough and vegetables only just adequately warm. Staff were a bit slow also and it wasn't even full. I did mention that the beef was tough and was offered something else but didn't want to wait for another meal to be produced. I... More

We ate on a Saturday lunchtime as a party of eight. Great selection on the menu to everyone's taste. Staff were very friendly and food good. Pleasantly surprised by the value when the bill arrived!

I am in to my steaks and this pub serves some of the best. The farmer is named, he raises and butchers the Angus/Hereford cross locally. it is hung for 30 days. And cooked perfectly. Our group ordered Rib-eyes and T-bones cooked to different tastes from medium to "blue" and all were very satisfied. A nice option was a Roquefort... More

Great service, amazing roast beef and great kids menu - topped up with a great external courtyard which is a fantastic sun trap!

My husband had been to this pub before for his Christmas party and said the food was good so we thought we would go back but this time we were all disappointed. The meals are overpriced for what they serve. The steak was small and served with a small bowl of chips which were not homemade. For £17 we would... More

Before you pay overpriced beer and food at Bristol airport think about this place. Lovely food and lovely beer at decent prices. Three courses for £16 is worth considering. Good ambience of a local country pub.

went for lunch on a quiet monday, good looking menu if a little expensive overall. However we chose to have the lunch meal deal and food was very well cooked and presented and beer and service as good as is to be expected. we shall return to see if some of the a la carte dishes justify their price tag.
