Stopped in here for dinner. The service was pretty good. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. I had the butternut squash soup which was pretty tasty, and my guy had blue crab spring rolls to start. The only part of the spring rolls with any flavor was the sauce. I had the duck as my entree and the... More

We had reservations at 8:00. They over booked didn't get in till 9:45. That not acceptable. Food was good but over priced. Not sure what all this fuss is about this restaurant. It was good but not great.

Have been coming here for years and. as expected, had another great dinner. Spare, clean, bright interior. Service is friendly and solicitous. Serene atmosphere. Will return yet again!

My wife and I dine at the Black Duck whenever we are in Cape May. Recently, we shared two entrees, essentially treating the entrees as appetizers. Would recommend the following: Start with Sautéed Jump Lump Crab Cakes. Follow with Szechwan Spiced Beef. The Black Duck is a BYOB. We bought a bottle of chardonnay at a liquor store located directly... More

Came back again after several years with my family (me, my wife, my teenage boys and my mom) and the place is still great. The food is great and varied -- not a typical menu -- it has an Asian twist on dishes that is really good. The appetizers were great. The lobster bisque and the pu pu platter really... More

Four of us ate here on Friday night, 8/15/14. For the price, the experience was less than wonderful. I had the tomato and watermelon salad, a special that night, and while it was very good, it had about 50 cents worth of ingredients in it for $13 - good but not worth the price. Two of our party had the... More

Did you ever get seated in a restaurant and then get ignored? Well, it happened to us at the Black Duck. The waitress had spunk and energy when she described the specials to the tables around us --- both with guests seated before and after we were seated. We did not get bread until after the appetizer was served and... More

We had a reservation for 8 pm and weren't seated until 8:35. There were lots of other people waiting as well, so it looks to me like they are in the habit of overbooking. On top of that, they kept stringing us along--"It will be 5 to 10 minutes...the table has the check...we're just setting the table..." and this 20... More

We took our daughter here tonight for her 19th birthday. We did not have a reservation, but were there early enough that it shouldn't have mattered and there were plenty of open tables. The woman at the door (hostess) did not smile, but instead looked at my legs (I had shorts on) and gave the 3 of us a nasty... More

From 5 to 5:30 a wonderful Early Bird Menu is offered. Our group of 7 had a sampling of the entrees offered and everyone was delighted with their food. The rolls were delicious too. Service was very attentive and the restaurant is very attractive.
