Stopped in for the early bird last weekend and we were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding selection and tasty food. I had the salmon and Stilton Salad while my spouse had the lobster bisque and crab cakes. He is a very picky eater but we came up happy with the choices and delicious flavors. The selections for the early dinner... More

The crab cakes and grilled hanger steak are both excellent. BYOB, and there is a convenient beer and wine shop right across the street. Ginger soup with scallops was also tasty, as were the spring rolls. Elegant dining.

Party of 6. Pretty bland . Had hear some go things about this place so I was excited to try. Over all no one in our party was thrilled.Service was great but food was lacking. Steaks were very bland.Tuna was fine but nothing special. Scallops were tender but side dish just seemed like strange combination. Just my personal opinion but... More

We dine here often and are never disappointed. The waitstaff are very friendly and helpful. They offer an early prix-fixe three course meal that is the best bargain in town. One of our favorite apps is the Blue Crab Spring Rolls, they are delicious. There are many choices on their varied menu and it is a BYOB establish with a... More

We had a wonderful dinner at the Black Duck for Valentine's Day. I enjoyed the crab cakes and my husband had a filet special. Both entrees were superb. Lobster Bisque for an appetizer was perfect. The only complaint I had was that we were in a room where the tables were crowded together and you almost felt like you were... More

We chose this restaurant for our one dinner out while we were on our first trip to Cape May. It came highly recommended by a friend and we are so glad we listened. We had the sampler type appetizer and everything on the platter was excellent. I ordered the tuna and it was the biggest tuna steak I had ever... More

My wife and I were looking for a good restaurant that was still open in Cape May, since most shut down after mid-October. We were always curious about the Black Duck, since we knew it was a owned by the same family from Godmother's, which is always great. We went in and were blown away. First, we came in before... More

We had a wonderful dinner here, it was our favorite meal during our visit. No corkage fee for wines brought in which was very nice. We loved the atmosphere and the food was all excellent.

Wow. This place serves wonderful food, has professional service and an owner who makes sure you are happy. We started with the shrimp toast, which is great, could not eat it all cause we needed the space for our salads and entree. Had the stilton salad and also the duck salad. Both wonderful, could have stopped there but we were... More
