Old style

Serves a good pint with friendly staff and free news papers. Extensive menu but with the usual suspects and if you like fried food there is a good choice here for you. Not a lot of atmosphere the day we visited but it was mid afternoon and very quiet. Plenty of space for a large crowd.

We had a family meal here in April. The food was lovely, but very expensive. The service was slow. It took 40 minutes in between starters and mains arriving. This was not good for the children as they had their mains whilst we had our starters, which means they were bored having to wait around for the adults to get... More

Had the three course special and really enjoyed the meal, beer, service and the game on the TV. Had a cheddar and carrot soup to start, lamb shank and a cherry-plum crumble. They have a couple of non-standard brews on tap. Enjoyed a Franciscan Well - Rebel Red Ale with supper because sometimes you don't have to have Guinness. No... More

Visited here with group for evening dinner found the food just about ok . Wine list very poor with the first three wine selected not available and most of the others overpriced 30 euro for pretty ordinary Cote du Rhone - will have to do better before I return.

You won't leave hungry. Had the chilli con carne and it was very tasty. Well presented and service was good. Cosy spot on a wet day.

My friend and I had dinner at Thomas Moore on a Saturday night. We didn't book, but we were turned down and asked to come back an hour later when they would have a table for us. They were extremely busy but very pleasant and accommodating. Dinner was excellent, we had the oysters and pan fried John Dory, both very... More

The burgers were immense... Lovely thick chunks of beef. Unfortunately I attempted to go for the "healthy option" of chicken ceased salad (cough and a side of chicken wings cough!). I have to say I was a little disappointed with the Caesar salad for the fact that it was literally a pile of gem lettuce (not iceberg so that was... More
