There should be more places like The Yard, it gets it right on every level, food, atmosphere, service, decor and very importantly price. It's a pretty big restaurant with eclectic decor, but it seems homely and buzzy. There's a great atmosphere. I absolutely love the Yard Restaurant. My boyfriend and I have been here lots of times. The staff are extremely nice & helpful; the wine is great and the food takes beating. We have visited the yard a number of times since September2011. Up to last week they offered what I consider two options for the lunch menu. However this time they provided two options based on bread with goats cheese. A little imagination around vegetarian options would be appreciated. Vegetarians are very much short changed when it comes to meals out.... More

Overcooked fish by leaving it under heat lamp, basic rules, not good, have given this two chances and it won't be getting a third. More
