Went for dinner in the Hollow when on holiday. OMG the food was unbelievable. I had the Hollow special burger......it was awesome....don't think I will ever get another burger to top this one. Hubby had the steak and he was delighted with his. Very generous portions. Sadly we had no room for dessert. Would highly recommend the Hollow to anyone.... More

I was taken here for lunch by some members of my family, who live locally. It is a small local pub that I remember well from my childhood holidays in the area, one that used to have more tractors than cars in the car park. It has moved on from those days, but is still a favorite haunt of the... More

We ate in the bar and phoned ahead to book. We were a party of 4 with 3 having fish and one sirloin steak, the fish was breaded and very nice with generous portion however the the steak was sent back as over cooked this was not a problem and all the veg and chips were replaced. Nice meal good service... More

Passed by on the way home from the hook and decided to have lunch.. Party of 4.. Cannot boast enough about the welcome and the food was fresh and delicious.. The owner's husband walked over to our table and wanted to know if we were comfortable and if food was good.. I had pan friend cod and probably the best... More

Had the monkfish and black sole. Seemed pricey at first but fish portions are generous so can't complain. Fish was fresh and very tasty. I Didn't need the salt and pepper so that's a good sign from my point of view!! Well worth going to if you are in area. Need to book ahead if one wants a table in... More

My husband ordered lemon sole and cod, battered. We received both breaded. He asked for extra lemon and we received none. Lemon sole was ok, my husbands cod was just average. Prices are a good bit more than average takeaway so we expected standards to be very high. Also given the reviews on here we were very disappointed. Maybe the... More

Easy to find on the main road after passing through Ramsgrange in the direction of Wexford. Not the biggest of restaurants so advisable to book ahead in the busy summer months. Food was delicious, fresh, and the portions are fantastic! My partner and I shared the mussels for starters, I then had the cod while she opted for the scallops.... More

The fish could not be fresher.Large portions. As all food is cooked while you wait there is a delay in eating. Well worth waiting for. Good service. Not cheap but great value.

We have dined in The Hollow Bar / Restaurant many times over many years and the one point that always sticks is consistency. The food is superb , portions are very generous and it boasts a fish menu that has to be seen to be believed . Located near Ramsgrange , Co. Wexford it is slightly off the beaten track... More
