The Hollow Seafood and Steakhouse restaurant has worked hard to earn an outstanding reputation for serving the freshest, top quality food, all locally sourced and prepared to the highest of standards. Our seafood is collected fresh from Duncannon and Kilmore Quay and our beef is locally reared.
Our menu is designed daily to make the most of the best in-season produce. As well as an extensive restaurant menu served from from 12pm to 9pm each day, we also provide snacks, sandwiches and childrens meals. We also cater for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs on request. Our restaurant is so cosy and inviting that sometimes we can get quite busy, so it's a good idea to call ahead for the busier lunch and evening periods.

Delicious Seafood, lovely service

During our recent stay in Arthurstown, County Wexford, we returned to this little restaurant tucked away in the countryside evening after evening. Each time the meals were very much to our liking - simple but cooked to perfection and with the freshest of ingredients. Although we always chose fish... read more

The Hollow is well worth the journey, over many backroads, to enjoy the excellent fish and the accompanying vegetables. All of the team provide a friendly, though not intrusive, service and guidance through the impressive menu. Prices are good, and, unlike many restaurants, reflect the superb taste of the excellent seafood. I/we shall return!!!

The food was jaw dropping tasty and so so fresh. This weekend we stopped at The Hollow for a meal expecting a quick fish and chips what we received was so much more. I don't think I've ever tasted anything so fresh and the staff were so sweet and friendly too. Enjoyed a hearty two course dinner (which I sadly... More

Ate here last night with my mother and my aunt. I'd read and heard some great reviews about the restaurant, and they weren't lying. The fish is so tasty and done to perfection. We had the scampi for starters, and it was gorgeous, the accompanying salad was perfect. Then for main course, I had a half portion of Haddock pan... More

Drove especially to this place after reading reviews. We were starving and looking forward to great fish and chips. The lady who served me in the take away was disinterested and more interested in a local she was talking to. Placed order for battered cod and chips. Order arrived in 15 mins which was good. Took our order to eat... More

Well . Well . Well. This really is a diamond in the rough. I am looking forward to seeing what will be on the specials board tonight in the Hollow. All of the fish is sourced locally. And you can tell. So fresh it jumps onto your plate. I had the largest piece of Haddock for mains. It took two waiters... More

We thoroughly enjoyed two delicious meals at this lovely, friendly and very welcoming restaurant. The choice of fresh fish is extensive and all extremely well prepared, cooked and presented. My daughter said that the pate was the most delicious she had ever eaten. Just make sure when you go you are hungry as the portion sizes are very generous.

On a short visit to Duncannon, Ireland a friend recommended The Hollow near Ramsgrange. Five friends ate in the restaurant area of this establishment which also has a bar and a fish & chip shop on site. Welcomed by Mary, we were very pleased with the service and food. All of us chose to eat Sole, four had Black Sole... More
