Undoubtedly the best cafe in New Ross, but to be fair the bar is pretty low. The food is generally quite tasty, although the menu badly needs to be updated- the panini era has been and gone I'm afraid! I also question how in vogue quiches and pasta salads are- not very! It charges the kind of prices one might... More

Run by the oddest people in the world. Owners and staff can be cold or unwelcoming somehow. Food is always fab though. Best eatery around.

I took shelter here from the rain, but I think I would rather be soaked, next time. One of the joys of going to a cafe is being able to sit near a window and watch life pass by. Unfortunately, you can't do this in the Nutshell, because there's a health/organic food shop at the front of the cafe. So... More

Had brunch here yesterday with my wife, food is always excellent, staff very friendly, a bit pricy but the quality of the food is always A1. I visit it every time I want something to eat when I'm in New Ross.

The fish pie was described on the menu as 'luxury' fish pie accompanied by potato wedges. From this, I incorrectly assumed that there would not be more potatoes on the pie itself. The pie, in fact, was 75% mashed potato with an unacceptable amount of, what I would describe as, fish sauce. I had been told that it contained crab,... More

Typical rustic deco organic food cafe with light lunch menus, and a delicatessen shop in front. The too-tempting desserts include Tuscan plum tart which I enjoyed, skipping the expresso cake, Moroccan orange cake, Berry crumble, etc etc.

Stopped into this Cafe on way through New Ross last week. Everything on menu sounds wonderful & it was hard to decide. I ended up with soup & toastie and my husband had soup and pâté. We also had a portion of sweet potato fries. Really wish more places would do sweet potato. The food and service was flawless. Highly... More

Stumbled upon this restaurant while strolling through New Ross. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. More important though was the food, probably the tastiest lunch I've ever had, huge selection on the menu and the staff will alter the menu to suit your taste. It will be first port of call whenever we are in New... More

Stopped here on the way to the ferry & had to stop on the way back again just to have another taste! The food was delicious if maybe a little on the pricey side, but I don't mind paying for the quality of food & service received. The fries especially caught me by surprise (there were sweet potato fries mixed... More
