The pint of guiness here is flat and tasteless and the food average. We ate here as a group and one persons order was forgot and they ended up with nothing! Avoid

Good evening with great Music everynight its a trip back in time in one of Waterfords oldest pubs the night I was in a Man by the name Dermot Power was playing some evening going back again to see him play. and all this for free.
Go there every week and get to talk to people from all over the world. Trad music every night is great. And the food is great homemade irish food.
As an English guy visiting Waterford this felt like a really traditional place, even though it's popular with tourists, mainly because they had trad music being played and everyone in the pub started singing along!!
Went to TH Doolan's during my stay in Waterford and really enjoyed the place. The service was great, bar staff were friendly and the food was quite good. I have been here a number of times, its a charming old style pub but is exceptionnally clean and serves smashing food. Even a good stew. There is music most nights and it is usually of an Irish influence.
Had supper at TH Doolans on 19 June 2012.Went there as Tripadvisor had some good reviews. Decor was good, service reasonably attentive but the food was really disappointing. I had the guinness and steak pie. Well, there were turnips, carrots and gravy in the pie but very very little steak. My sister had the battered fish (think it was cod)...

All the food was fresh. Gorgeous boiled ham and cabbage. Big fresh carrots and mash. Total comfort food. The staff were so kind and welcoming. Not a tacky tourist bar, a real old Irish bar with Irish values.
T&H is the quintessential Low beamed Olde' Sod Pub in back of the Merchants Quay and the River Suir. As times have gotten difficult for Irish pubs and most of them have had to take on more of a stylized dining experience as well, "The Doolan" runs the gamut. The oysters are awesome, in this atmosphere with a pint of...
