Four members of my family and I spent the night in Ardmore and armed with a good review of this restaurant I read in a guide book before leaving the states, we went to dinner. This was just on our 2nd night in Ireland and it turned out to be my favorite of all the places we ate in our... More

We couldn't get a table at Cliff House on our visit last Oct, so on our innkeeper's advice went to Cliff House for drinks, which we thoroughly enjoyed, then to White Horses for dinner. We had a wonderful night, quite personal service in a lovely atmosphere and we loved our meals and dessert. Would go back without hesitation.

I have been again and again to this restaurant. I have dined all over the world and would rate the food they serve at the White Horses as comparable to the best if not better than anywhere everything tastes superb. The family who run the restuarant are quiet but that should not be mistaken for inatentiveness. You do need time... More

I recently attended this well established restaurant on a rare Sunday afternoon off! We travelled from cork as the White horse had been recommended and Ardmore holding fond memories for three generations of my family. We arrived five minutes before our previously booked table to find we had to wait "just a few moments" in sweltering heat. Twenty minutes later... More

Food is good if a little pricy but the staff are anything but friendly, one particular very thin lady was rude and made us feel uncomfortable and rushed.if this restaurant was anywhere else in ireland it Would not survive as it would need to change its attitude to customers ...the food is nice but customer service means a lot especially... We had lunch, (three of us). It was delicious. Plentiful, presented well, tastly and good price. Will defo be back. Thank you. Keep it... More

As loyal customers we were disappointed witrh the reception or lack thereof by the staff of white Horses. While the food was good,we felt rushed to eat and under observation to get moved! Will not be rcommending to anyone.A noisy, expensive and hostile place to eat. Will not be back.

Nice ambience, food was good but on the pricy side, especially the starters, so my advice is go for the main course and share a dessert . add a bottle of wine to the meal expect to pay around 100euro for the evening. Service very disappointing and we didnt get the desert we ordered as they forgot, but at least... More

My wife, three children (11-14-17), my dad and myself visited for lunch on Father's Day, June 17th. We made the reservation on the previous Thursday and were only able to get a 2.30pm sitting. Would have preferred slightly earlier but given the day that was in it, went along. Prior to going to the restaurant, we visited the local beach,... More

Average restaurant, quite small. Was not happy been seated at a table beside the cash register where customers were staring into your mouth whilst waiting to pay their bill. Also received a beverage that was way past it's sell by date & tasted foul. Food not bad though.
