I visited Tra Ban at the weekend with a group of my friends, I was very happy with my meal and the service we received. I would highly recommend the stuffed mushroom starter it was gorgeous, the fillet steak I ordered for main course was cooked to perfection. I managed to find room for desert and the chocolate brownie did... More

Me and my husband went on our anniversary meal here and we loved it. We were sitting at a good table where we were over looking the sea so the view was amazing. The food was delicious and presented very well. The staff were very friendly and polite. They made sure we enjoyed our meal and that everything was OK... More

Over priced and poor attention to detail. Meat dishes were overdone. Staff not really interested weither you enjoyed the meal even though it was obvious the meals were not finished for a reason.

€23 for a 3 course meal. Food was lovely, Had starters and mains only, too full for dessert! Try and get a window seat for the view, 4 out of 5 for food as person dining with me felt their pasta dish was a bit disappointing . I had a veggie option trio of vegetables (cant recall exact name) but... More

We went to Tra Ban for dinner as part of my hen wkend in April. The staff were very friendly, service was great and the food was delicious. Even though we were on the early bird menu there was no pressure to get us out to turn the tables over for late service. The complimentary bottle of prosecco went down... More

Visited Traban for the Early Bird on a Friday Nite after hearing great things and it didn't disappoint! The quality of food given for an early bird is excellent & in my opinion the best food in Sligo. 3 courses for €23.I had a starter of Cajun chicken Caesar salad which would have fed 3 people, which is unusual; I... Second visit to Tra Ban and once again we were not disappointed. We didn't bother thinking about going to any other restaurant after the great experience we had the first time and again it was the right decision. We return to Sligo two or three times a year and it is definitely our restaurant of choice. Excellent food and great... More

We went to this restaurant on a night out. We chose the early bird menu which is served until 7pm. There was a good choice of starter a Cajun chicken or smoked salmon salad, spicy chicken wings, lissadell mussels, seafood chowder and soup of the day. I had the vegetable soup which was very tasty and my husband had the... More

Made a reservation late-ish on a Friday afternoon for the same evening and we were accommodated for a 7 p.m. sitting. The Strand Bar is a great place for a pre or post-dinner drink and the upstairs restaurant is lovely and cosy - next time I will certainly book further ahead as I'm sure the view overlooking the Atlantic is...
