We stopped in because we had heard there was going to be some music. Several hours later, we left, having heard amazing music from an ever-changing array of locals who came out to play (for themselves, not for us) and who clearly were having a terrific time. The musicians treated each other and the music with great respect, even shushing... More

We called in to this place because of the rating on Tripadvisor. The place is quirky and rather old-fashioned - not very large but right on the main street. We wanted to see what it might be like to eat there. We realised that food is only served through the day, not in the evening, i.e., dinner. We were served... More

This bar was recommended to us and a visit here much anticipated for drinks and food. What a let down. A pint of Guinness and a mediocre glass of white wine was 10.40 Euro - ouch. The chef had gone on holiday to the Philippines so no food. A bleak fire on a cold night, other people came in an... More

Went on a Monday night expecting things to be quite quiet but it was packed to the rafters! There was live music and the band were excellent. Great atmosphere about the place too.

I am a local and I had lunch here for the first time today. It was recommended and what a recommendation. The menu is very different. It could put people off. But do not be. The food is fabulous. I had the nicest salad I have had in ages. Compliments to the chef. Others had the soup and club sandwich.... More

There isn't anything pretentious about this place- no cliche band posters or stylishly uncomfortable chairs . Instead it's a nice bar with a warm fire and some good music, modern interior with that ol Irish feel that will have you singing out of the place when your 10 pints down and the joint closes

These little gastropubs are the highlight of a trip to Ireland. Thank you to other tripadvisor reviewers who recommended this place. I had to really convince my husband to try it but OMG. The place was so funky and the owner/bar keeper was so welcoming and nice. The cook came down and talked to us too. The atmosphere was just... More

I didn’t know this is a restaurant, so don’t know anything about food there... but I do love Irish pubs. When on travel, I try to visit as many pubs as I can at a single night out. My average capacity is ~ 4-5 pints and, accordingly, up to 4 pubs. It’s rather rare that I stay at a pub... More
