Top notch grub!! Post craic in the pub the night before, we were in need of sustinance... And the full breakfast was a lifesaver!! Herself had the boiled eggs with soldiers, which was more than enough. But, as I had a hangover that would have put paid to any mortal, I needed additional medicine, and anything from the menu would... More

I am not a fan of the Irish breakfast generally however my friend insisted that I try the Irish breakfast at Shells Cafe in Strandhill. It was utterly amazing! The puddings were absolutely the best I ever had along with the homemade toast. There was so much food including a sausage, maple rashers, poached eggs, tomato and their famous homemade... More

Best flourless chocolate cake and lemon bars. Great food served by friendly staff. Tables outside with the best views of the Atlantic ocean. Enjoy a coffee while watching the surfers.

My wife and I made a return trip to this most unlikely of great eating places. Like a previous reviewer I ordered soup and Fish and chips. My soup did arrive first! The quality was as good as our earlier visits, when we had enjoyed the seaweed baths next food first. This visit was in mid October, we were delighted... More

We went here on a busy Saturday afternoon after a race on the beach! The cafe was full inside but it was a warm enough to eat outside. I had a nice ham and cheese sandwich with a big bowl of chips. Staff are very friendly and can cater for celiac. Breakfast is served until 12. Right on the beach,... More

Went here for lunch after hearing/reading reviews, it certainly was worth the visit. A superb location right on the seafront, a lovely setting for any occasion. The cafe was extremely busy when we got there and we managed to get the last 2 free seats inside (there is also outside seating). The waiting staff were very friendly and added to... More

Located on the sea front, try to get a table at the window to take advantage of the great views over the bay. The coffee is excellent and they serve double shots in each cup.

Best cooked breakfast I have ever had. Going back again. You must eat here - breakfast, lunch and / or dinner - if you are in Sligo or Strandhill.

Having walked up Knocknarea we were in need of refreshments and I had read the reviews and had to find this cafe. There was a queue for tables inside but as it was a lovely day we decided to sit at the picnic tables outside and watch the world go by. We only had a cappuccino and a hot chocolate,... More
