Lovely pint of Guinness in Raffertys used to be followed with a trip upstairs to The Silver Apple for a wonderful meal. Unfortunately, the business is now closed but still provides excellent food supplied to your home. We visited family for my niece's confirmation and the food was just superb. Chicken and Tarragon pie, Moroccan Lamb and Lasagne dishes were... More

We stopped in Sligo on our way to Donegal from Limerick. We used the trip advisor app to find this little restaurant. The meal was well prepared and at a reasonable price. Overall great experience.

Thorougly enjoyable meal saturday night. Friendly and very attentive service , good choices on menu and good selection0of wine at reasonable prices. Steaks cooked exactly as ordered. Pity not more diners on saturday night - they deserve it. Attractive dining room with stone walls abd stain glass panels between tables.

I was happy with the meal we had here.. Not the best meal ive ever had but definitely not the worst. I will dine here again. Gets a higher rating as my partner really liked the fish.

In Sligo for the Easter break, and we found this little restaurant our first night, it has a pretty, modern, classic layout, and a relaxed and very welcoming atmosphere. The staff - (there was only one waitress on shift - Nicola) and she was a great girl, very welcoming, attentive (when she needed to be) and efficient. She looked after... More

The Silver Apple is a bistro style restaurant with an interesting menu. Dishes have an unusual combination of igredients which certainly worked well in the ones we ate. The surroundings are bright welcoming and the staff cheerful and helpful. We will go back whenever we are in Sligo.

Nice food, but not a great menu, early bird menu poor, very cold room, close to bus/train station and the best western hotel.

Myself and my husband went to this restaurant valentines night. They had a St Valentines special set menu 3 courses for €26 €4 supplement for the 10oz steak. We both had the seafood chowder which was delicious with brown bread & warm homemade scones. For the main course I had the fillet of salmon with herb & lime butter sauce... More

The food was great and the service very friendly even though the main dining area was packed. The restaurant is a short walk from the city center. Wines were reasonably priced. We'll be going again when next in Sligo. Make sure you get a table in the main area as the "spillover area" lacks charm and atmosphere. Do try it.

Goats cheese starter to die for- sweet sour to tangle the buds. Main of duck spoke for itself and then then the accomapaniest. Put this restaurant any where and it holds its culinery chops. Shame about surroundings- lost it on atmosphere. Don't expected to be wooed but the food will get you- enjoy
