We visited Monmarte at the end of September this year, after reading the reviews here, and boy are we glad we did!! The restaurant is a 5 minute walk from the town centre, and seems to be in the middle of nowhere, so we had a little trouble finding it, but that’s probably more due to my map reading skills.... more

I am shocked by some of the reviews here. This is by far the best restaurant in Sligo if not the North West. Yes, as one reviewer whinged, there is a wait in between the courses but what a typical Irish complaint. The wait only adds to the experience.
