Food just what we wanted. Soup home-made. Lovely pot of tea and the sandwich lovely! The ambience was busy, friendly and professional. Keep up the good work!

Loved the coffee, loved the ambience. This is the place to come if you want time to yourself to read a paper over a cup of good coffee. It's a small, unpretentious Italianate style restaurant in a shopping centre. Nothing to dislike!

It was a freezing cold day in January. We headed to the back room and sure enough the turf fire was burning brightly. Already we were glad we came. We weren't out for a fancy meal. All we wanted was dinner. Three lovely dinners, sausages and chips for our daughter, fish and chips and roast pork for the adults. Each... More

I visited here while looking for a wedding venue. Me and my fiance decided to stop in at the lodge for a spot of lunch, which I must say was fantastic. I had the fisherman's catch and the selection was fresh and incredibly tasty, my fiance had the half chicken in a mead sauce which she loved... So much in... More

Beautiful setting, the walk up to The Hunting Lodge is fantastic and really adds to the atmosphere. We decided to have some bar food in Conor's Bar, which is full of quirky corners and snugs which is perfect for a night spent dining and chatting. We ordered a main course and dessert - two steaks, chocolate brownie and a berry... More

This was a 50th birthday treat for both my wife and myself by two very special friends! Last time we were here was for my 40th, food was really good back then and the original place was full of character where you dined down stairs in a pantry type room with an old stone floor. But WOW what a transformation,... More
