I have heard good things about this restaurant for a long time. Passing through Castlebar... I decided to put the recommendations to a test. The food I received to my table was good and tasty. However I did wait too long in my opinion to provide an item from the " specials" menu. I did receive prompt and efficient service... More

What we had was good but very expensive for what it was. It was so cramped we felt like we were sitting with the next table poor value for money

This is a local place for me and I have visited this place a few times, yesterday I dined for the first time, I stopped here for coffee and I had a dessert too, honestly probably the best chocolate brownie I have ever tasted. However, the bill left a little sour taste in my mouth at nearly €16 for 2... More

This Deli sells high end and hard to find gourmet food items. They sell only the finest and freshest ingredients. However, it does not come cheap - but you get what you pay for!. Parking can be a bit tricky as the Deli is located on the main very busy street and it does require "pay and display". There is... More

We go here once a week or so for lunch on our day off and always find the food and service to be excellent. The quality is always there and flavours are great and deserts are worth leaving room for - there's a new place opened in town, the Pantry, who'll never come close to Rua....we just keep going back... During our tour of the country we stopped in many cafe's and pubs for meals but Rua was by far the best lunch stop on our trip. As it was after... More

A fabulous selection of cheeses, salads,,soups, sandwiches, cakes and much more. Using local organic produce where possible. and a fine selection of reasonably priced wines too.

I have been visiting Rua cafe & deli for several years on my occasional trips to Castlebar. It gets better and better. Situated just off the Mall at the heart of the town, it attracts a great cross section of customers. Yesterday I enjoyed Rua pâté with delicious salads. I also bought home made pesto, beetroot relish & locally produced... More
