I was out for lunch with family. A family member found a fly on her plate, she took it off and continued eating. A family member then see 3 small flies crawl out of the tuna.. We made the staff aware and they took the dish back. Then the manager said it was not possible the flies came from their... More

Called in for lunch with my wife again last time and I feel dissapointed. The food was amazing, fresh local produce on plate, as on our previous visit but we were so dissapointed on the service by older lady over her forties that served us. It looks like our last visit.

Visited here for my birthday and I was not disappointed. Really like going into someone's home for a meal and so many delicious choices. In the end we chose the taster menu so had a sample of most dishes all home produced and fresh made. We would certainly recommend a visit.

Delicious, freshly made baked and savoury produce, with locally sourced ingredients. All with a good cup of coffee, in a central location! Park for town centre, and enjoy!

Called in for lunch passing Castlebar. Well worth the slight diversion. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food is of excellent quality and well worth the few extra euro to get such great quality. Wiil be back and looking forward to checking out their sister restaurant also in the town. Highly recommend

I've visited cafe couple times and always got lovely food and nice treats to go. I saw previous reviews and I completely agree on food side, most of service is friendly however older woman who serves is ignorant and have weird attitude and that's why it's good, only good.

This place is fantastic, very different idea in terms of layout etc. The food is amazing and I love their coffee and desserts. There is one waitress though serving that has a terrible attitude and she is very ignorant and not very helpful, it's almost as though she begrudgingly serves you. She's a bit older then other staff members and... More

Gorgeous food - soup, brown bread, Mayo mezze, lemonade, chocolate pudding, Brack & butter pudding. You get what you pay for. Absolutely amazing for a country town in the west of Ireland.

After half day of shopping a coffee break was a must. I was looking for something cosy with good coffee when saw Rua. Coffee was great and I like takeway cups design :) I heard food is also delicious so I will come back during my next visit.
