Not just location

We needed a light late lunch, and this was on our road. Mid-afternoon, but parking lot fairly full - a good sign. The restaurant was also fairly full. The menu was "typical Irish restaurant" and prices were average. We both had bowls of seafood chowder. They were HUGE! Served with brown scones... read more

There was 2 of us and we played a round of golf at Seapoint and decided to stop and have a bite after it. The service was excellent but the food was very poor. The Lamb seemed to have been reheated in a microwave.

We were ready for lunch, had not seen any possibilities, and saw a crowded parking lot, so we stopped. We do not eat wheat so our options were fairly limited. We were offered steamed fish without breading. We requested pan fried but they used flour so we requested broiled. We got steamed and it was very mild and soggy. The... More

On our way to Dublin Yesterday morning, we stopped off at the Monsterboice Inn, had breakfasts all round, the staff were so helpful, friendly, service was very quick, and great value for 14 of us. We will be back again for sure and a big Thank you to Ann.

Been twice now to the recently renovated bar / shop . This used to be a bit horsey and roudy for men throwing a few pounds on the horses or dogs ... but its more of a sheek slick restaurant with all the space and charm of a posh old country drawing room . Food is still top drawer and... More

I booked meal for coach party and was delighted with service we received, on booking, and on the day. We had prebooked choices from group booking menu, and found it extremely good value for money. The hot meal was served very efficiently by delightful staff , nothing was any trouble . It was a Saturday, and place was very busy,... More

What has happened to donnegans. I have family in cork, kerry and limerick that can tell me about this place. Steaks are usually a safe bet, breakfast is cheap but big. You can pay more and get nicer but i think the price reflects the quality. Lunch, as in light lunch is disgusting. We stopped one day to get a... More
