Always brilliant, outstanding extension on top of the great service and nice food. Nice locally crafted beers and music.

Really mixed feelings on this place, celebrated a family party here. Bar staff very strange!! Got the impression if you were not a regular you have to wait for your drinks... When the food finally arrived at 23:00 it was delicious but waiting staff very disorganised!! The place has great potential as it caters for everyone's needs you have the... More

They have gluten free options on the menu. I had the (gluten free) salmon that had a delicious mild chili lime sauce. Another of our party had goat cheese platter and said it was yummy. We had to ask for our check but staff was very nice.

PROS - nice atmosphere, clean, modern, good range of drinks, good beer garden/outdoor area, generally there's a few people about. CONS - Temple bar uyprices, hit and miss service, gets a rowdy tattooed crowd sometimes celebrating little chantelle's christening, the bar area always smells of food. Mixed bag

Was intrigued by the drinks menu promising wonderful craft beers. Until I spotted o'haras IPA at 6.75. That is scandalously expensive. Earlier this evening I paid 4.70 for the same drink in the windmill house. We also had complementary sandwiches and friendly courteous staff. The black bull seem to have different staff every week and last Wednesday I had to... More

We stayed at the Killowen House (B&B near Black Bull) and they recommended this place for dinner. It was crowded and I know why --- we really liked this place. Friendly service (albeit a little understaffed for the crowd) and very good food. The pub atmosphere was all Ireland to me :-)

Visited here for Sunday brunch with about 20 family members, including quite a few children. Tea and scones were delicious. The China Shop area is beautifully decorated and very pretty. The kids had a great time exploring the garden. A lovely place to pass an hour or so on a weekend morning.

Received wrong order of food despite telling waitress of allergy. She was not very nice about this but another waitress was very apologetic. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Ordered coffees and they were forgotten about so after half hour of waiting, we go to leave and they tried to charge us for the coffees we never got, saying... More
