I wish I'd known about this place before. I visited early on a Wednesday evening and they could only just fit me in as they are so busy all the time. The staff were very considerate especially since they needed the table back by 7.15 pm. I couldn't fault the food which is cooked fresh to order - I had... More

Top location for the best fish on the shannon. Located in a a beautifully restored biulding within minutes reach of all hotels and taxi ranks. This is a must if you love fresh fish - as this is the only fish served here. The staff are welcoming , always at hand for special requests. the restaurant is on two levels... More

Following a strong recommendation from a friend I visited Freddy's and was not disappointed. Down a small street in the centre of the city the hostess told me the restaurant is full every night. I started with a mushroom risotto which had fantastic flavour. My Dingle crab linguini was top notch. Crème brûlée dessert was done well. Portions were a... More

Short but effective wine list. Food was great. All concurred. St. Tola sald nice. Great duck for mains, perfectly cooked. Deserts went down a treat. Nice Malbec to accompany. Very good service.

This is the kind of place that makes me reevaluate my rating scale. I need 6 stars. The food here was amazing. Maybe the best meal we've had in Ireland. And reasonable priced I thought. The staff was charming too. A+++++

Hadn't been to Freddy's Bistro in a while so was really looking forward to it. Food was excellent and staff very nice but I felt we were rushed, we had no sooner order when the starter arrived, then with in 5 minutes of started dishes been taken away the main course arrive. We had not gone for early Bird time,... More

This restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint in any way. The atmosphere, service and food was amazing. I had the Pate followed by the steak with pepper sauce. It was up there with the best steak I have every tasted and so well worth the supplement. My husband had Chicken with Clonakilty pudding which was also fab. Cannot... More
