A city treasure

A beautiful meal in a gem in the city centre. The staff were most professional and the entire experience was a delight. My wife and I will return.

We visit the restaurant last Saturday. From the off we felt unwelcome. Before arrival we got two phone calls to confirm we would be gone by 9. When we arrived the woman behind the desk told us we could sit where we wanted, pointing at a couple of empty tables. We felt all she was short was chewing gum and... More

Had a table booked for 9pm on Saturday night. We were seated at a small table downstairs. The tables are close together but far enough away for you to be comfortable to talk. I had sticky orange ribs to start. They just fell of the bone when I looked at them. The food was of a very high quality and... More

Can't say enough about this charming little restaurant. Both the food and staff were excellent. I had stuffed mushrooms with garlic butter and butternut squash risotto - both were perfect. Would return again and again.

A group of 7 arrived just before opening time on a Saturday evening, with no reservation. They opened the door even though we were early and immediately prepared a table for us. Several of us said "The best steak we've ever had!" However, the other choices were excellent, too. We had asked lots of locals where we should go--most said... More

Really enjoyed our night here last night . There were three of us and we were quietly celebrating a significant birthday. It was Wednesday and the Restaurant was full, even turning over some tables twice. The Staff were friendly and efficient. We had the crab starter and 1 had the chicken curry , 1 had the chicken and I had... More

On our last two nights of our 10 day trip to Ireland, I needed a delicious and satisfying dinner. Freddy's was exactly what we were looking for. Though it may be hidden away in a small street of Limerick, the atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful. We arrived before the dinner rush (around 6:30pm) which gave us enough time to... More
