Friendly staff, great food at reasonable prices. They have no problem with substitutions/special requests. The whole place is spotlessly clean and its obvious the owners care about their business. Presentation of food is always great too. Highly reccommended.

I took my partner for a meal. The food was lip licking good. The service, well if the staff had been any better it wouldn't done. Nothing was too much to ask for. Tip for the lads.....Great value and it scored me loads of brownie points:-))

Bad steak, place seems seedy & in need of a clean. We dined on a voucher and the staff seemed confused as to what vouchers offered what nad different menus... Overall I would not return.

Based on the food and the value alone I would recommend this restaurant.......However, I have to say the service is awful! The worst service I have ever had! The waitress was disinterested and slow to take our order. Probably would return for the value of the food but definatly would not be at the top of my list!!!

Attended with group of 9. Waitress took our order by course, ie. one person ordered duck starter so she shouted to the group 'anyone else for duck?' and continued to take the order in this manner. Ordered wine and after we finished the 2nd bottle, our wine cooler was taken and plonked onto another table without asking if we wanted... More

A fortnight ago, I spent a week in Ireland with a friend, including two nights in Limerick. Unsure of where to go on the first night (neither of us had ever visited Limerick before), we ended up in the Black Fig bistro purely by chance... And we're very glad we did! From the second we sat down, we were made... More

Went to Fig Bistro after reading some reviews in the local post. Was a total waste of money. The waitress was friendly and attentive...that's because there were only 2 of us. My partner ordered crab and mango salad which was ok, and I had the tempura prawns on a bed of salad, which was tasteless. My turf and surf consist... More

I dined in this resaurant last saturday night as part of a group of 10. We chose this on the recommendation of one the party who had eaten here before Christmas and really loved it.Though the decor of the restaurant was cosy and inviting, the food and service left a lot to be desired. Though there was plenty of choice... More

We went to the Black Fig on recommendation from a friend for breakfast last Saturday morning whilst visiting friends in Limerick. Tucked away in the basement you could be forgiven for walking right past and missing this little gem of Limerick! We had a large breakfast each and it was so good! The chips really did it for me and... More

we didn't find our meal good, there were 5 of us. 3 starters were shredded duck but what was on the plate was fatty sliced duck that didn't taste too nice,2 other starters were only ok, main course of Malaysian Curry was bland and overall presentation wasn't great, steak was ok and cod was just ok, thai red curry tasted...
