Regular family dinners

It's the no 1 spot for our kids to eat at the 'Gower'. From the wings, mussels & calamari you can't go wrong, as for the seafood platter it's a real treat not to be missed, another favourite is the Hake. Value for money with great pints of the black stuff keeps him happy, relaxed atmosphere with no... read more

I was recently here with family over St. Patrick's Weekend and the service was second to none. Great selection of sea food and craft beers. We will definately be returning

Without a doubt the Curragower is mine and my boyfriends favourite restaurant in Limerick. For two avid seafood lovers the Curragower is definitely the best spot in town. I would highly reccomend their seafood chowder! We always come out of here feeling full and satisfied.

We stumbled onto The Curragower later in the evening, on a hunt for a restaurant that could accommodate a wheelchair and that had gluten free options. Pete and the staff cheerfully set us up. It should be noted that the toilets are not wheelchair accessible, but even though most of the restaurant must be reached by short stairways, there is... More

Great seafood platter, lovely location with views onto the river, staff were really friendly even though they gave the table beside us our order they apologised and offered us a drink on the house and we didn't have to wait long for our food, good atmosphere, great guinness& reasonably priced menu

I love this place, a real showcase for Limerick. The building is quaint and intimate. The atmosphere is always good and the staff are a happy bunch. The food is basic but hearty and plentiful. Your pocket will not suffer. The view on to the river is Limerick at it's best, deadly atmosphere on match days. Lovely place for an... More

the food here is great but the staff are even better and the setting perfect old world style just the way you would want it . I had the Calamari for starter not under cooked or over cooked and rubbery just right the kind that leave you wanting more, but i was willing to wait for the mains. I went... More

Amazing chowder, with chucks of fish. Geat pricing. Lovely traditional pub inside. Lovely view of the castle outside.

We really like this bar and restaurant. Very chilled, great atmosphere. Food very good and reasonable. Delicious scampi. By the Shannon river with lovely view of Curragh Gower falls and King John's castle.
