An interesting mix of tourists (probably tripadvisor's fault!) and local, who hold this pub in high regard. The staff are all very friendly, although the service was slow when we visited (it was very busy, even on a Thursday evening). That said, it came out quickly once we'd ordered it, and was extremely tasty. The portions were generous, but not... More

Loved the seabass and crabclaws, really amazing. Decent price for such great food! Cozy bar located just by the water. But one thing that has to be changed is to get the staff to pay more attention to their guests than chat with eachother.

The curragower stands out in the few places in Limerick that specialise in seafood! It is a cut above the rest, staff are pleasant and helpful! The chowder is Devine

Just walk along the Shannon River towards King John's Castle and you'll find this restaurant. Excellent seafood, service and atmosphere. You can sit outside and enjoy the Shannon River.

Right across the Shannon River from King John's Castle, this gem is friendly, with great local ambiance and terrific food. We liked the upstairs covered deck (OK in any weather) that looks out right across the river to King John's Castle. The downstairs pub rooms are cozy and intimate too. All the staff is cordial and friendly and we loved... More

We were here on Saturday 16th August, and sat in the terrace area, my wife asked if she could get an open prawn sandwich ( didn't think it would be an issue as prawns were on the menu ) but NO you could only order what was on the menu, so she ordered the chowder which was good, I went... More

I visited Curragower with friends on August 1st and had a truly fantastic meal. Food was top class and staff were efficient and friendly. Specific dietary requirements were not a problem and I would have no hesitation recommending the Curragower. going back again this Friday (with a different group) and I've recommended to dozens of people to pay a visit.

Was here in July for a family BBQ. Despite the poor weather we had a great evening. The staff were so helpful and the food was both delicious and plentyfull. We had the well covered balcony/terrace privately and if the weather had been better the views of the castle would have been amazing. We'll worth a visit if your in... More
