Great little pub. Delicious food. Excellent service. Our waitress was very patient as we waited for our party to arrive. My parents had just flown in from New York and were looking for the perfect Irish pub experience. This was it! After a long flight and drive down from Dublin we couldn't have asked for a more perfect "intro to... More

The food here is great and you get a lot of it for your money. Pub portions not restaurant portions. The place is known for its seafood however if you dislike water cow as much as I do don't worry, the meat and veg options are awesome. Delicious and very filling. As a pub its got a cozy atmosphere, pulls... More

The Curaghower is home from home and you feel you are in the kitchen; lovely atmosphere with good service. The seafood platter for two was absolutely delicious; our server was gracious, attentive and helpful. Their triple decker sandwich looked generous and was equally delicious. The dessert was dynamite; it was their homemade chocolate cheesecake absolutely out of this world and... More

What a great little find! Had heard about this pub/restaurant awhile ago, but as it is off the beaten track and we hadn't walked by it on the way to anywhere, I made a point of looking up the full address and directions before our recent trip to Limerick. I rang to book a table but they don't take bookings... More

Food, ambience, drink, staff - all fantastic. We were lucky to be there on a weeknight when it wasn't crowded and atmosphere just doesn't get any better than this. It's warm and cozy and rustic, with castle views. I felt like we were back in another place and time. I had the mussels (delicious) and my husband had the fish... More

I ate here on a Sunday afternoon after walking about 5 miles through the city. I had quite an appetite and thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips. Wait staff were hospitable and service was good.

The food here is great. Honest to goodness proper comfort food. Fantastic chowder full of seafood haddock salmon cream, served with brown bread and proper butter. A kings feast. The chicken wing with spicy franks sauce a big portion with dip these and chips will raise any mans spirits. Spicy mind so expect a real kick off them. Service is... More

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant. We shared the fish cakes then he had the seafood pie and I had the bean burger. The burger was one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had. The seafood pie was equally delicious with large pieces of seafood. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was excellent.... More

Am from the city and have been going here for a good while. It's one of the best places in Limerick to sit and have a pint while viewing our great River Shannon in full flow and also look across at the Castle. If the weather is decent, sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the scenery - the bar... More
