Description: The charming restaurant on the first floor of No. 1 Pery Square is called...
The charming restaurant on the first floor of No. 1 Pery Square is called Sash, referring to that most distinctive feature of these magnificent Georgian houses, the sash window. The name Sash is also, maybe, a nod to the dressing-up appeal of going out to dinner somewhere special! Step into this stylish space through a quirky sash window-shaped door, into a restaurant with views of the surrounding Georgian streetscape, a lovely room with a menu that is quietly confident and traditional, but with the same contemporary twist to be found throughout all of No. 1 Pery Square. Focusing on home cooking with an extra layer of sophistication, the menu at Sash is almost like country house food in the city - showcasing simple but elegant dishes, both classic and contemporary, using old-school, time-proven techniques. Ingredients used are local, seasonal, and reflective of a menu that would have been familiar in the house at the time it was built, recognisable to those original Georgians, with the addition of herbs and leaves grown in No. 1 Pery Square's own kitchen gardens where possible. Sash also has a carefully selected wine list featuring a collection of unique boutique producers & classic selections, ranging from casual wines for relaxed evenings, to rare and hard to find bottles. Sash reflects the attributes of its home in No. 1 Pery Square - being elegant, thoughtful, Irish, historic, with an extra layer of sophistication and character. Sash is a little beacon of old-fashioned conviviality - cosy, not grand, relaxed, not posh - and serving proper food to share and enjoy.

Restaurant was lovely, staff were great, food was good but would have preferred some more variety e.g a curry (Indian chef and good reports from a regular visitor in the bar)

Fabulous evening @ Sash Restaurant on a Sunday evening with a friend . The interior is beautiful , a bit funky and very cosy . Fresh flowers and candles complete classy , romantic atmosphere . We had a corner table with a great view of the whole restaurant and the kitchen , watching the "magic " being created in front... More

This is by far the nicest restaurant I have been to in Limerick. I had beef cheek for my main, a regular on the menu apparently and it was simply divine. The staff are extremely pleasant and of course the setting in the Georgian quarter caps off an exceptional dining experience. Five stars for me...

Wow wow wow. Little gem of a restaurant that should be much more popular than what it is. Had an amazing meal in Sash, the menu is varied and offers a nice choice at reasonable prices. The service was very good and the atmosphere excellent. The quality of food was superb, the mussels starter is without doubt the finest mussels... More

I have been a patron of No 1 Pery Square several times, having dined in both the lounge and the drawing room and enjoyed the spa on occasion, but am ashamed to say I had never sampled Sash until yesterday. We were a group of six leaders who were holding a training session in the drawing room later that evening... More

We visited Sash restaurant at No1 Pery Square Hotel last week and we will definitely be making a return visit. Finest ingredients, locally sourced and gently prepared set Sash apart. The Fisherman's Soup was a particular winner for me along with the Beef Cheek Bourguignon, both of which were justifiably recommended by Tom the restaurant manager. Delicious food, relaxed elegance... More

What I love about Sash and One Pery Hotel is the sense of intimacy exuding throughout the building. This is a tasteful environment with precise attention to detail. No stuffiness, nothing pretentious - simply a relaxed, consistently friendly experience in the heart of historic Georgian Limerick. The newly refurbishing Sash Restaurant is intimate enough to allow for a memorable evening... More
