Before I ate at the Moghul Emperor, I tended to avoid Indian food. My experience of Indian cuisine had not been good, mainly curries attempted by well-meaning amateur cooks who thought that all you needed was a load of chilis fired into the pot and a bit of boiled rice along with it, so I had no idea of the... The Mogul Emperor Restaurant has been open in Limerick for many years. It has a very good take-away menu too. I visited in October with my 2 sisters. We were celebrating a birthday. I have to say that the food here, if you like Indian, is really excellent; and well worth trying if you haven't already been there, and are... More

I have dined many times at he Mogul Emperor and the food is always delicious, it is probably the best for Indian in Limerick. The decor is old fashioned but this is its charm, it has new carpets throughout and it is spotless clean. The staff are not overbearing like in other restaurants and this is why I love it... More

The mogul is by far the best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten in. The food is always excellent. The lamb biryiani and murgh aftab are so full of flavour and the garlic and coriander naan is fab. The service is is great and the staff are friendly. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Love Indian food and had been meaning to try this restaurant for a while as we are from Limerick and know this restaurant has been here for about 20 years, Surely a sign of great food. It was definitely the exterior of the building that has put us off for so long. Its very run down and scruffy looking ,... More

Have just got back from a meal at the Mogul Emperor. Like a previous reviewer, we are staying at the Pier Hotel so this was the nearest Indian .... but this is where the comparison differs ... Service - excellent ... food - excellent .... price very reasonable. All in all I would recommend the place to anyone in the... More

Located on the first floor the place is all in all average: The decoration, the food, the service. We stayed at the Pier Hotel so it was the nearest indian restaurant

This restaurant makes the best tikka masala I've ever had. It was very filling (I think there were ground cashews in it as well), and the sauce was very mildly sweet with coconut. The garlic + cilantro naan is also great. I would absolutely have gone again if we were spending a longer time in Ireland! A tragedy that this... More

Love the food here. Tikka Masala or Pasanda with Lamb or Chicken .....delicious. Premises could probably do with a facelift but don't be put off by that the food will not disappoint.
