I arrived on a quiet Monday to find the early bird special is on all night on a Monday. I had the spicy salad, the salmon main and the Eaton mess. All three were fantastic! Highly recommend! And the staff and owner were great, came round and chatted with everyone. Great evening!

I read all the reviews and looked forward to my meal there. There is a nice atmosphere as it was quite busy. The food is decent though a little shy on the meat portions. I sometimes judge a restaurant on it toilets and aftertelling dtaff that there was no soap they still hadnt replaced it before we left over all... More

We happened on this little bistro while searching for a place for dinner between pubs. There was just a generic "restaurant" sign from Parliament street. What a find! A fun decor taken off the charming fish wallpaper determined the colors of the room. The food was fantastic. The pan fried cod and smoked chicken taggalini were great choices.

My husband and I just recently ate here while staying in Kilkenny. The restaurant was recommended to us by the owners of the B & B we were staying at. We were glad we went! The restaurant is down a side street of the main part of town in Kilkenny so a bit off the beaten track. A small, quaint... More

It was my first visit and I can't fault the venue or location. Staff were very nice but I think they were a bit stretched as we received our starters before we had our wine, water or bread. Starters though were great. The ham hock terrine was delicious. My main was tarragon chicken breast on roasted veg. Which consisted of... More

Newly decorated, bright & welcoming. We had a slight issue with one dish which was dealt with beautifully by the staff. In general the food & service was first class. We will be back.

Amazing! Our family of four ate here during our quick trip to Kilkenny. We all decided this would be our go-to "spot" if we lived in the area. The amazing food matched the beautifully done decor. The food was appropriately priced for how wonderful it tasted!

A very relaxed atmosphere here. It was highly recommended to us however we found the food to be fairly average.

Love the Thomastown Cafe Sol, food is always delicious and so fresh. Great menu choices and value for money. Lovely ambience and the staff are always very friendly and attentive. Will be returning as soon as I can.

We enjoyed our dinner at this restauran. I started with the mussels which were very good. If you are looking for a change from pub food I recommend this restaurant.
