We were quite hungry after visiting the Castle and sought out Lanigan's because Sharon from Rathview B&B in Swords had mentioned it to us. She was right, the food was exceptionally good. The guy that waited on us seemed to do everything, wait and bartend, but he was quick and attentive. I got the chicken wrap and it was really... More

The food was tasty as you'd expect from a local Irish pub, but the show was what brought us to Lanigan's and it did't disappoint! The Irish dancing from a former Riverdancer and his partner was great fun and the perfect atmosphere as they danced right in front of our table to a local band! I can't forget to mention... More

We were in Ireland, Kilkenny, in May 2014 and we stopped at Lanigan's and it was amazing. The food was perfect, I had the traditional Irish stew, the atmosphere was great! I had never heard of hurling and they put a game on the big screen just for our group so we could watch it. our server, Cira was absolutely... More

Music, atmosphere, and Guiness were outstanding. Went early and stayed late. Great people watching as locals came and went.

Stopped by for a beer, and saw they had music and dancing later, so came back after supper. Nothing was going on as the World Cup game was playing, but eventually they started. Good music, Irish dance.

The fry-up for breakfast was delicious (even on a hangover!) and dinner was too (I had shepherd's pie). It's a great... More

On a large group tour to Kilkenny our tour guides trucked us down the hill from the Kilkenny Castle and into Lanigan's to a large back room (with a stage!) with many big round tables: on offer was a choice of (1 of 3) starter, (1 of 3) main, and (1 of 3) desserts - and everyone seemed quite happy... The atmosphere here is perfect for people watching and enjoying a pint! We came hoping to hear live music and were offered tickets to the comedy festival going on which was a treat!
