Ate there with my wife and had the early bird deal. Excellent choice provided. Food and presentation top class as was the service. Nice thing a few other restaurants should follow was the wine offerings. 125ml glass, 250 and 500 ml carafes. Nice wine selection as well. Very enjoyable all round. One comment was the main lady taking orders was... More

We ate here recently and loved it . The food is very well presented and really unusual not something you could cook yourself. I had the grouse which was fantastic . My partner had the turbot which was excellent. The wine list is extensive and fairly priced.

We went for lunch here recently and it was just spot on. Food, service and ambiance were just right. Had cured beef, lamb, and tart with a bottle of house wine. Wouldn't fault this restaurant one bit. A couple beside us had taken the train down from Dublin to eat. I think that was a great way to have a... More

Recommended by a friend, my visit to Campagne was very last minute on a recent Saturday afternoon. I didn't know exactly what to expect and I suppose I was somewhat amused by the prospect of eating at a Michelin starred restaurant in a small town like Kilkenny. I went for lunch. Upon entering the building, I silently groaned as the... More

This was meant to be a great and memorable meal for my husbands birthday but it turned out a mistake having driven up from Cork. We started of with a glass of champagne €14.00 ( blanc the blanc...is over the top)...starters were nice, Lobster lasagna and pigeon pie, selection on menu ok but nothing jumps out at you, main course of... Good service wasn't too fast, allowed time to enjoy the meal. food was good, with desserts were very good Poor outside of restaurant looks run down & alot of litter - just didn't look appealing service details - forgetting butter - not refilling water Need attention consider non-alcoholic drinks options e.g. jug of elderflower cordial or lemonade

I was here with my parents and my partner for a celebratory meal and as foodies we were all really excited at the prospect. We all agreed to order different dishes so we could try a little of everything. Our starters were spectacular even if the presentation was average. The pigeon dish was delicious and the Foie Gras was mouth... More

I have been here before with friends from London, and they were surprised that this restaurant had a Michelin star as they thought the food was average, and portions were smallish and too open and very noisy. I went this time with family and nothing has changed, food lukewarm , portions small and look I could not fault the welcome... More
