I went to the tea rooms, part of marble city bar and got breakfast granola. It was terrible, very little granola one piece of fresh fruit and sickly sweet. I would of changed it to another breakfast but didn't see a waitress. When I went into pay all staff were standing chatting at the counter. When I explained about the... More

We felt so fortunate that we were drawn to the Marble city bar for lunch when we were in Kilkenny last week. The soup of the day was Tomato Basil and it was the best tomato basil soup I have ever eaten.. It was all vegetarian...no chicken stock. Had a chance to pay my compliments to the chef who happened... Youngish crowd and modern music, with very good food. The wait staff was friendly and the wifi was strong.

A bit pricey for downtown Kilkenny, but overall a great meal...wonderful wraps and sandwiches, and the staff is quick and friendly.

I love the food here, especially upstairs (on High St). Some friends and I had lunch here before heading off for a night away. We had a glass of wine too and we were really tempted not to leave! The atmosphere is great! The turnover is high at lunch time but if want a leisurely lunch - don't go at... More

Stop here for lunch on a busy Saturday in Kilkenny. Had the open Salmon sandwich and friend had the smoked haldock. Both were so tasty and no complaints on the portion size. sandwich was 8 and haddock dinner was 11euro. So reasonable and service was prompt.

Nice steak but I wasn't a fan of the atmosphere upstairs too dark and loud for my liking. The mashed potato wasn't the greatest either, the butternut squash mash was really nice though.

We stopped in the marble as we regularly would. The full house did not detract from the prompt and friendly service. The food came quickly and was as usual first class. The staff were buzzing and we finished off with a couple drinks! Good night by any standards.
