We visited this bar for a bite to eat in the evening. It had a lovely romantic atmosphere as we were seated in a booth and the food was genuinely lovely. I can really recommend trying the lamb pie and chocolate brownies for dessert!

Very disappointed by the quality of the food during my most recent visit to the Marble City Bar, I have visited this bar / restaurant numerous times in the past and was always happy with the quality of the food and the service however on this occasion the food in particular failed to impress. To be more specific I ordered... More

The food here was brilliant, very good value and the tea room list is endless. We were impressed with the decor and location, the bar was busy but the staff were top notch. One of the best gastropubs I've ever been to, 10/10.

I ordered the portobello mushroom dish with bread crumbs and goat cheese. The topping was good but the mushrooms so tough I could not eat them. My baileys was brought in a dirty glass. A server never came to check how the meal was. There was golf on the tv with the volume up the same time as music playing which... More

I've you are looking for a very good, quality meal in the heart of Kilkenny city, then I would highly recommend the Marble City Bar. It does get very packed though at lunchtime so try to avoid the 1-2pm rush. Their fish & chips are amazing, their stir fry is absolutely to die for. The service is also very good.... More

We were on a weekend to Kilkenny recently and dropped into this lovely bar/restaurant on High Street (near all the boutiques and tourist attractions). It was well worth it. It is extremely child friendly and offered to do a half portion from the adult menu for our son. The staff were attentive and the food delicious. There was a wide... More

Found this place on our first night, about the only place still serving food after 9 pm. Waitstaff were very friendly. Good selection of beer on tap and food selection was great. I recommend the curry chicken pot pie if it is still available, everyone at my table loved it. Wide variety of food though, can't go wrong here,

Our first meal in Ireland, no disappointments. Seafood chowder amazing! The "joint of the day" was ribs- not what a North American would expect for ribs, but melt in your mouth delicious none the less. Met some friendly and helpful locals at the bar. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

We came here for post dinner drinks and loved it, the style reminded me of art deco Berlin but the place was far from pretentious. Friendly staff matches the warm and welcoming atmosphere, left me with a fine impression of Kilkenny, just go easy on the vodka martinis! driest in town! will be back one day.
