Great place for a bite and some history

Very cool restaurant that is rooted in history. Kyteler's stands as one of the oldest Inns in Ireland with Dame Alice as it's owner in the 13th century who fled Ireland because she was accused of being a witch.

Had a stop here and the place was really nice. We had sausage bangers and daily specijal roasted beef and it was delicious. Visit if you are near by

Generous portions, lovely chunky chips. 3 of us ate there the lasagne and daily roast meals were fine. The vegetarian quiche was not so good. Overall a good dining experience. 2 had desert. Death by chocolate lovely. Berry roulade not so good as the berries were frozen, fresh would have been better. This is a pub and so fully licenced... More

Visit the witch? No. Covered beer garden? Boring. Irish country music. They were pretty good but whatever happened to Ireland and its traditional music. The beer is the same everywhere else. At least, it wasn't a drunken stag party like the rest of the pubs over on Patrick Street.

The location for parking is good. There is a very nice olde worlde feel plus we were given a nice table which was close enough to enjoy the traditional Irish music. As a bonus, the food was good. We left quite content.

Food was average pub grub. Very salty, wouldn't eat here again but it was very good value and service. Feels very personal which is better than a posh retaurant. Really lovely pub for tourists to visit and have an irish meal

Very cozy old pub with fire place and heart warming lamb stew. In the down town, public parking in the the back of the building for 1.3 euro an hour. Good selection of beef, lamb and beer!

Thanks to the staff at Kyteler's Inn for the lovely Sunday lunch we had there. As a coeliac who is also dairy intolerant I was very impressed with the options available to me and the number of dishes that they could adapt to suit me. It's great to see restaurants becoming more aware of coeliac needs, although Kytelers were always... More

A very old inn in the centre of Kilkenny. Founded by a women who was accused of being a witch. Food was several steps above what you normally get in pubs catering for families. Service was good and atmosphere friendly. Glad we popped in on a whim.
