A great pub experience visited three days

This was a great place to experience traditional Irish music whilst dining with good pub food and to top it off with the courtyard entertainment. We had many laughs and gigged to the Irish sounds.

We stopped in here for "refreshments" while wandering around Kilkenny. The history of the place is incredible as it dates back to the 13th century - and the architecture certainly reflects this. We only had beer and coffee, which were both of course wonderful, and the staff were very friendly. I'd love to try the menu sometime...

This was our first night in Ireland. The owners of our B&B suggested historic Kyteler's Inn for dinner and the live music. The food was good (better than normal pub food!), the service was good and the Irish trio was very good in a historic building. A great combination.

We had a quick lunch and drinks here while touring Kilkenny. This was a good spot with great food and service. We sat inside, with a cavern like quality of old stone walls. The food and bread was of good quality and tasty.

An interesting pub with a great historical tale. The basement bar is supposed to be one of the oldest serving pubs in the area. Worth a stop by for a pint to see it and hear it for yourself. Make sure you go downstairs.

The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was as well, but how can you resist a pub that once belonged to s woman that was believed to have poisoned several husbands? She was thought to bre a witch but was able to escape. Hermaid was not so fortunate and was burned.,

Decided to dine here on a whim and along with great food we were treated to some traditional Irish music and dance. The food was typical Pub Fare with wife having the Book Keepers steak sandwich and I had the bangers and mash with a couple of pints of Kilkenny the bill was less than 40€. The included show appeared... More

Came in just before the music began. Sat right next two the musicians and it wasn't overwhelmingly loud. Authentic Irish music and they were great!! Food was awesome. Atmosphere of almost 700 year old pub was over the top. Exactly what I think of when I think of Ireland. Best pub the entire trip.

Really filling lunches/dinners. Beautiful surroundings, love the new interior of the beer garden! Food amazing!Only problem being the little staff but it was a Tuesday afternoon so it would be the busiest of times.
