Good food and good service

The food was good, the service faster than expected. Our waiter was very polite and attentive with a rather dry sense of humour. It is a bar, and a sports one at that, so the decor was typical of that type of bar. I found it to be a decent, moderately priced pub.

We had dinner here one night, while the food was excellent, there wasn't much choice on the adult menu, the chicken was cooked to perfection for us, and the desserts are not to be missed!

Wonderful, flavoursome and interesting food served by friendly and helpful staff. Lots of nooks and crannies which makes if feel very personal. Heated by wood burning stove. Very nice.

I stayed in the hotel on 21st August and ventured to the wonderfully decorated bar. I ordered a dinner with glass of wine; I only ordered a house beef burger…I had to wait 35 minutes for it to be served on a plank of wood. (What has happened to good old plates; please burn those platters)Though tasty and homemade, for... More

Food not good. Drink and atmosphere.....good. Stayed close by, and it was late, but even still, food not good at all.

I loved the Bar when at the Meadowlands Hotel. The hotel much less. GREAT staff and food a really good mix - Kid friendly and they play sport on the TV so you can watch and have a conversation. Loved it.

Went to the bar in the evenings and enjoyed a Guiness or two with the locals who welcomed us warmly.

Loved the "open fires" but disliked the sport being shown for the majority of the evening. Food is very good, must try the seafood chowder!!!
