Good food at reasonable price

We were referred to this restaurant by our tour director. It was a very quaint place and didn't appear to be very big. We had typical Irish food (fish & chips) which was very good. The breading was very light which I really liked. Service was good and friendly.

Our first stop in a local restaurant - loved the décor - the staff was extremely nice and accommodating despite them being very busy. The fish and chips were YUMMY - they were a great start to our trip in new surroundings!!

My partner and I visited here to have a nice traditional Irish stew, and a couple of pints of Guinness. The Guinness was as to be expected in this part of the world....'lovely pint' the atmosphere was friendly and kind of 'your nice local pub' feel to it. Food was OK nothing bad but not great. It wouldn't stop me... More

Just back from a stay in Killarney and we were delighted that we decided to dine in The Laurels on our first night's stay. It was absolutely gorgeous! They were busy but that did not affect the customer service or indeed the food quality. I had the Surf and Turf and my partner had the Sirloin Steak. We were both... More

We went here twice over two days as we were so impressed with the Traditional Irish Grub. Food: I had the bacon and colcannon both nights as I loved it soooo much. I'm a bit of a fiend for bacon so I appreciate this won't be to everyone's tastes. Service: There were two staff working when we visited. The both... More

Had a wonderful meal at The Laurels. Cute, quaint pub, friendly waiters, lot of fun for our group. So glad we chose to eat at the Laurels, potato cakes were awesome! But everything we tried was. Fun time had by all. Would definitely eat there again, right on the main street, easy walk from the Killarney Towers.

This was a nice pub. So much so that we went back the next day. Listened to a little music, and had a couple of cold pints. Not much to complain about there!

We had a great meal at The Laurels, properly warming hearty food. We were so full afterwards that we sadly couldn't sample the dessert menu, but shared the breaded Brie and garlic bread starter, then the Parma ham wrapped chicken and chicken/bacon potato cakes. Make sure you go hungry as the portions are huge! Service was really fast which meant... More

Checked Trip Advisor and found this outstanding pub. There were six in our party, and all we're welcomed by Maggs our waitress. Wonderful pub environment, as well as delicious food. The Laurels definitely knows how to pour a pint of Guinness.
