My wife and I were in Killarney for a few days last week. Had lunch here a few times. Food was very good and service was excellent. The seafood chowder is really good. The pint is always good here.

We ate in the Laurels Restaurant, which is right next door to the pub. At first we chose it because it had a quiet ambience , including quiet, relaxing music. Then we found that the service was. great and the food was delicious. I had cod which has a wonderful white wine sauce with dill. My husband had chicken fajitas... More

Sat at the bar, had a quick drink and split sandwich for lunch. Excellent service, very clean atmosphere and bartender offered wifi password without us asking! Great value!

We only stopped in for a couple beers before dinner, but it was a really neat building on the inside. Some of the food people ordered around us looked tasty, but it was a tad on the expensive side for our liking.

Laurels was recommended by our hotel as a good place to get a good pub meal. It was a great recommendation. My husband go the hamburger and I got the Thai dish...what diversity. Both were excellent. The price was right. A nice evening out in city center Killarney.

We didn't want a big dinner so we asked if we could just get a soup and salad. No problem our waiter was happy to accommodate. The soup like all the other places we dined was delicious. The salad was good also and we topped it off with a Guiness. Nice clean place gracious waitstaff.

My wife and I came in starving and were treated very well by the staff and say immediately. The drinks came fast and the food was good. Maybe not the best meal possible as it wasn't as traditional as some we have had in the area. Still, it was a great meal and overall experience. A great place to refuel.... More

We stopped for lunch at the packed Laurels. We had hardly sat down when a waiter gave us a menu. Ordered lunch and were quickly served. For dessert we ordered the Bannoffee Pie which was our only mistake stopping there. The graham crust was rather thick and hard so ended up just eating the pie filling. Clean and busy. We... More

Visited The Laurels for seafood chowder which was delicious. Great example of an Irish pub but a poor representation of Irish hospitality. Being in the heart of Killarney there was a majority of customers in the 'tourist' bracket. Our waitress was having an 'off day' and was abrupt to say the least. End of a long season? A group of... We were an American family having a hard time finding a great pub experience until we came here. We loved it! The food was really good (my potato & celery soup was delicious and the brown bread divine!), the drinks were tasty (Jameson with Ginger & lime - YUM), and the service was so friendly. The owner chatted us up... More
