If you like touristy; this is the place. All the cliches gathered together. Saying that; their food is kinda traditional but very very tasty. I had the beef casserole, tasty; and being traditional; had the lesser cuts of meat in it. What more can I say?

On a cold wet day this was the place to be. Cosy atmosphere. Very welcoming staff and generous /thoughtful attitude towards the children. The meals.....soup, burgers and chicken gourgons (declared the best) were perfect. A great lunchtime break.

We had been recommened Murphy's Bar by our accommodation and it did not disappoint. We had an excellent meal of pate and seafood chowder to start, followed by mussels and hake. All delicious. Well worth a visit.

My partner and I ate here when we first arrived in Killarney for lunch. We had taken our time walking the streets having a look at what else was on offer throughout the town and we decided this was by far the best. The staff were very friendly and attended to us within seconds of walking through door, and the... More

Had a delightful meal with a charming staff. Great menu choices. Nicely located in the heart of Killarney town. Had prviously dined upstairs at Lord Kenmare's, and Murphy's is more informal but quite pleasant.

We stayed at the Fairview and the manager recommended Murphy's Bar for dinner. I am a fish and chips fan and these were the best I ever had. It was a very cold and rainy night, so the fire warmed in pub and made everything cozy. The Irish band was great and they played a wide variety of songs well... More

If you are a tourist from the USA, Australia, Europe or elsewhere and are looking for classic Irish pub food in Killarney - look no further. Take it from an Irish man born and bred, this is top class. Simple but tasty menu, fantastic vegetable soup, great steaks and classics like Irish stew and Cottage pie. Lovely staff and right... We had a great dinner at Murphys Bar. I had the fish and chips which were best I ever had. My husband had the irish stew which was good and lamb was tender. Very good overall.
