Went for Sunday lunch there but were so disappointed with it, we wont be going back there. Its a lovely bar but the food was terrible. A thick congealed tasteless gravy covered tasteless overdone meat. No effort made to make us feel welcome...it was just a case of take your money and run. Such a pity as it had been... More

Had good expectations when we arrived, pub felt nice and warm, staff were friendly but I have to say, very disappointing. We were hungry so we ate most of our food, when I was paying I was ready to give feedback but staff did not ask how our meal was. The food was like a school dinner, presentation was awful... More

Very pleased with the quality of the food -- solid pub meals, including the sign of a well-run kitchen: really fresh side salad. No rusty lettuce or limp bell peppers here. Welcoming atmosphere and efficient service. It's interesting how many reviewers call the pub "touristy"; seriously, any establishment in Killarney could be accused of that, as it's a tourist town!... Although the food menu choices were excellent, I gave this bar a '4' due to the beef curry that I had. It was over cooked. However, its bar food, nonetheless. They are improving their menu from what I heard for tourists. You can get a beef or vegetarian wrap here... the first I've seen in Ireland!!!! That was very good.... More

I visited Killarney in November and based on a recommendation head down the street to Murphy's as a good place to drop in and listen to some good traditional Irish music. You could smell the peat fires burning around town and the wonderful smell hung in the air as we made our way to the pub. There was a great... More

Called in for food and was not disappointed.they have a very varied menu and the food we enjoyed was so fresh and wholesome and served by staff who enjoy their work.. The food price for Killarney was very reasonable and this was one of my better food experiences.

We all had the Irish Stew, it was good, but we had better in Dublin. Beer was very good, great service. Overall good experience.

I and my business associates came here for lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I liked the atmosphere. It has a traditional vibe with stone and wood work. I had their seafood chowder and caprisi salad. Both were fantastic. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very polite and provided prompt service to all our needs. I recommend this... More

If you like touristy; this is the place. All the cliches gathered together. Saying that; their food is kinda traditional but very very tasty. I had the beef casserole, tasty; and being traditional; had the lesser cuts of meat in it. What more can I say?

On a cold wet day this was the place to be. Cosy atmosphere. Very welcoming staff and generous /thoughtful attitude towards the children. The meals.....soup, burgers and chicken gourgons (declared the best) were perfect. A great lunchtime break.
