American portions and quality

Seems to be a place where the American/other bus tour groups go for a nosebag. Big portions of quite bland food based around steak and fried foods. Even the poor old salmon had been pan fried in butter. Portions were large enough to make you feel from the start that you cannot finish it, which is... read more

This is a glorified diner. Smoked salmon was sinewy, salads were wilted and tasted like they were just pulled from a fridge. The menu screams "value meal" so if that's what you're into, this is your spot. Maybe we ordered wrong but I certainly can not recommend it.

On our first evening in Killarney we chose to eat here and we were not disappointed. From the fresh mushroom soup and brie for starters to the lamb chops for the main course... Well it was just absolutely wonderful. This was our best meal so far in Ireland. And the servers were attentive and so polite.

We arrived late one night after a day of touring. We were greeted straight away and seated. Menus were given and a wine listed was provided upon request. Our server was very pleasant. The seafood chowder was very good (and very filling). My main course was the 4oz fillet, which was the perfect size after having the chowder. The veg... More

This is the best restaurant in Killarney, without question. The reviews might rank otherwise, but if you want a great meal at a decent price, this is where you will find the locals eating. I had a meal of mussels, salmon and a fine cut of steak for 22 euros. The steak was delicious and tender, the salmon cooked perfectly... More

We had a family celebration dinner in the Flesk Restaurant, with ages varying from 14 through twenties and Mam and Dad a little older!!! The food was absolutely sumptuous. We had varied dishes from meat to chicken to fish and everyone was more than satisfied. I highly recommend the fish platter - it's a wow. Portions are man-sized. Starters and... More

We went to the Flesk Restaurant because other restaurants on the main street were full (first bad sign). We were seated and then completely forgotten. When we finally ordered, our first dishes came out before we even received our water and drinks. There was loud thumping come from upstairs several times throughout our meal. The food was overcooked and bland.

We have eaten in this restaurant every time we visit Killarney which is at least twice a year. It was closed in March for a much needed face-lift so we couldn't eat here but had a meal here last night. The decor is fabulous, very tasteful. The food was of its usual high standard. I can honestly say we have never... More
