An excellent break from pub food

We were pleasently surprised to find this little Italian gem hidden away in Killarney. We were burnt out on pub food at this point and were leary at first, but it was delicious. We ate sort of early (6pm) and had no reservation, but were seated right away upstairs by a window. Very cozy atmosphere... read more

I had dinner here on my last night in Killarney. It was highly recommended by the staff at the hotel where I spent three nights in this lovely town. I was greeted and seated right away in a cozy room on the second floor. The room was nearly full, and abuzz with conversation, and it smelled wonderful! As I sat... More

Almost directly across the street from the Killarney Park Hotel, this charming restaurant is a must visit. Great food, great service, very reasonable pricing. Who could ask for more?

We are regular visitors to Killarney, however, this was our first time to visit this restaurant: read the reviews and were looking forward to a great meal...however, while the food was good, the price was excessive. The staff did not appear to be very happy and the atmosphere was un-inspiring; most Italian restaurants are buzzing with larger than life hosts... More

Maybe because it was a rainy August evening in Killarney, the restaurant was quite on entry and therfore lacked atmosphere thoughout our meal. Staff were pleaseant. The food was average Italian for some hefty pricing. Our experience was not helped when a group of ten arrived, we were asked to move to another table to allow staff rearrange tables and... More

Overall, the experience was disappointing. The menu is very expensive (€21.50 for lasagne,€19 for spaghetti bolognese!). Again,a restaurant taking advantage of the tourist, not uncommon in Killarney. Nice food, but won't be back.

Had a great meal here one evening in July. We had the set menu which offered both myself and my wife enough variety to satisfy us. The staff were incredibly friendly and effective, and the food was amazing. We were a little early so the restaurant was very quiet. It's not got a lot of tables, but that adds to... More

Everything about the experience was fantastic- the staff, the food and the ambience! Pricey but well worth it! Save up and go, you will not be disappointed.

We went to Cucina Italiana on our way back from a rainy afternoon traipsing around Muckross Farm. Arriving with a family of five wet and muddy we were expecting a pizzeria stylle italian and I felt a bit moritified arriving in such a state to what was obviously a high class italian restaurant. Thankfully it was early in the evening... More
