Our tour group dined at Kate Kearney's cottage August 7th 2014 -- good food & a trio plus 2 superb dancers entertained us with Trad music & dance. The Guiness or "blond with a black skirt" was grand as you'd expect.

Being in Killarney, we couldn't go home without seeking the famous gap of dunloe. We also had to visit the equally famous Kate Kearneys for lunch. It was lovely, a cosy turf fire greeted us & the place was larger than expected. Food was lovely, service was friendly & prices were very reasonable too! Glad we stopped by.

We visited for dinner one evening. The place was packed, but service was quick and efficient. The food was excellent and this was the only place in our ten days in Ireland where lamb was on the menu. The lamb was cooked to perfection, as were the other items. The desserts were some of the best we had. A three... More

Every time i go back to Killarney i make sure i visit Kate's for lunch for a bite to eat. The food is always a very good standard and reasonably priced too. I had the Roast Kerry Lamb which was delicious again. I've had the Lamb and Seafood Chowder on previous visits and i'm looking forward to having them again... More

Dear Lord. This is the stuff to make you cringe. Paddywhackery at it's worst. The place is smoky from the fire, full of visitors who are looking for all things 'Oirish' and a bit cramped and dingy inside. Leprechauns of all sizes shapes and poses are on sale, with mini Irish cottages, Celtic crosses and all their like for sale,... More

We ate here yesterday evening. I ordered the bacon and cabbage and was looking forward to a hearty dinner...what I got instead was a plate of what looked like slops!! A mountain of wet cabbage, sitting in a bed of water, with fatty bacon thrown on top, finished with parsley sauce everywhere!! I still can't believe that they served that... More
