What a fun evening. Great food and a live band with Irish dancing. Had the lamb for dinner and it was fantastic!

We stopped here after travelling the Gap of Dunloe. The weather was beautiful so the outside eating area was very busy, It is quite a big bar but no different to any other touristy bar. It has a shop selling all the usual tourist stuff and the food was fine but nothing exciting. They do have music sessions in the... More

Friendly, good food, great local entertainment. Well worth the visit. Sample the local moonshine! Our hotel called and they fit us in close to the music and dancing. Enjoyed a few pints and the lamb shank was divine! If visiting during the day you can take a horse drawn carriage over the pass from here.

This is a little gem of a spot for a sunday lunch. Get there early, particularly in high season, to get in before the many walkers that frequent the place. Well worth the trip out from Killarney!! The half portions for the kids are almost full portions and the food is homely and simply stunning! A great pint of Guinness... More

We were warmly welcomed and given what might have seemed to be a bum seat. However it gave us a full view of the band who were playing later. Everything is set up to make sure you have a good time, but be warned there are coachloads of people here - if you struggled through the Gap of Duloe it... More

Had to call in to see for myself. Can't say I saw much being Irish myself I thought the souvenirs was the usual uninspiring tat. A light snack might be ok but I wasn't inspired by the menu. Abiding memory .... smell of horse manure. Sure though I would enjoy a good ceilligh session.

Hearty lunch at a reasonable price. Good lamb, ribs and shepherd's pie. Photo posted. Inviting and comfortable atmosphere. We visited after a delightful 1 1/2 hour jaunty ride up into the Gap with 3rd generation guide Bob Ferris and "Beauty" (1st driver on left across from house with white wall in front, 1/2 km before Kate's). He suggested it after... More

Visited this place as a child 40 years ago! Went with a school friend whilst we just happened to both be in Kerry at the same time. I live in Sydney and she's still in the UK. It was a nostalgic visit and so I guess was expecting more. The area is spectacular but we were disappointed with the food... More

In the 3 weeks we spent in Ireland and the dozens of Pubs we went to this was by far our favorite. What I like most about this place was it wasn't quite a tourist trap. It was more of a local pub and all the locals were extremely friendly, some of the people I met there I'm still in... More
