Fantastic food and a great atmosphere in Killarney

My wife and I and our teenage son had dinner at the Bricin restaurant while on holiday in Killarney. We had not made a reservation and arrived at the restaurant around 7:30pm, but we only had to wait a few minutes for a table to be available. The restaurant is upstairs above a craft shop and is... read more

We ate dinner here next to our hotel. We ordered the special Boxty of the night which was the beef stroganoff Boxty with green salad. It was wonderful. Reservations are required and you'd better get them several days in advance. Our next night choices were 6pm or 9pm, but we were lucky because they had a 7pm cancellation in the... More

We were fortunate to get a table as we had just walked in, the restaurant was very busy, always a good sign. The restaurant is upstairs above the shop which sells various Irish wares, perhaps not where you'd expect to find an eatery, however, there is a very pleasant ambiance and nice decor that makes a pleasant dining experience. We... More

Loved this place. The Boxty was delicious. We didn't have a reservation and they were full so they made one for us at Paddy's down the street and got us in for the next night. Good wine selection. Highly recommend

The locals eat here as well as the tourists like us! My wife and I had a wonderful dinner with good atmosphere and courteous service. My wife had Hake and Salmon Gratin with potato wedges and salad and I had Boxty, their house specialty, which is a traditional Irish potato pancake (mine with chicken). They have two and three course... More

Walked in expecting a traditional but somewhat touristy Irish meal, but was pleasantly surprised by the dining experience at Bricin. The nut roast was divine - one of the better vegetarian meals I have ever sampled. The service was warm and friendly, culminating with a detailed discussion of various Irish whiskeys. Highly recommend.

The owners have preserved this unique restaurant and are leaders in the Chamber of Commerce. I brought a large group and we are made to feel right at home two years in a row. The Boxty's are terrific. Check out the gift shop downstairs - very nice !
