Upon recommendation by our guide we headed to Bricin for dinner. The restaurant sits upstairs from a shop, and was obviously a popular spot as walkins were denied a table until 9 pm. Our meal was excellent....starters of spring rolls and crab brûlée followed by entrees of chicken curry and chicken in puff pastry. The brown bread was delicious. The... More

We just returned from two weeks in Ireland, and I have to say that our meal at Bricin was the best we had on our entire trip. We read about it in a guide book and thought we'd give it a try. We were greeted by the owner who told us there would be about a 25 minute wait. He... More

Make sure you make a reservation; it does get so crowded and make sure your reservation is early otherwise the boxty runs out! We had such a lovely meal there with the family (So much food!) and the service there was welcoming and like home. Truly a lovely find.

Loved the service and the fact that staff were happy to stop and talk about our holiday, giving recommendations on what to do in the area. Food was also terrific!

Early bird is 6-6.45, 19euro for two courses which isn't bad given Killarney prices. Didn't have a reservation, and arrived just before 6.45, but staff managed to fit us in as long as we were out by 8, which was fair enough. I had the bruschetta starter, which didn't arrive until after 7.20. Was ok, nothing more than you'd get... More

We did not know that this place was so popular and that reservations are recommended. There is a gift shop downstairs and when the sales lady realized that we were planning to eat upstairs, she told us that we should go up to eat right away, otherwise we may not be able to get a table. She said we would... More

It was packed so we really appreciated their effort to squeeze us in. Service was lovely, but the food was not spectacular. It was fine, but all the fuss over the boxty as their specialty - it wasn't that good.

There are many restaurants that serve very fine food. There are also those that provide good service. Rarely do you find a place that combines great food and service with a genuine effort that really shows their desire to EARN your return. Staying in Killarney, our hotel (the Brook Lodge) suggested we try Bricin for dinner. Once there, we realized... More

One of the best meals I've ever had...delicious food, great wine, lovely staff, gorgeous environment. We were lucky to have found this place (and to have gotten in!) I can't wait to return!
