Description: Ard Bia at Nimmos restaurant in Galway City enjoys one of Galways...
Ard Bia at Nimmos restaurant in Galway City enjoys one of Galways most romantic locations in a gorgeous upstairs room with lovely views of the river, hard by the Spanish Arch. This restaurant is famous in Galway and beyond for the stupendous quality of its cuisine and its professional and welcoming service, all in a charming setting. The dcor is rustic boho chic with quirky details. You might find fresh local garden blooms on your table in a tin coffee pot, for instance. The seasonally-changing Irish/Moroccan/North African eclectic menu blows you away with dishes like the Gubeen antipasto dish, all made with the finest and freshest of local ingredients. Ard Bias commitment to live and modern art make it a happening place, though if you just want to come for the great food and service and see why the restaurant won Regional Restaurant of the Year from Food & Wine Magazine, no one will mind.

Loved it!

What a find. Great food. Great atmosphere. If I lived in Galway, I'd make this a regular destination spot. I will definitely be back when I am next in Ireland!

We went based on a friends recommendation and what a great suggestion it was! Hands down my favorite restaurant during my time in Ireland! Everywhere we ate was great but Ard Bia stands out bc of the their food and ambience. This place is just so cute and cozy! I had the quinoa salad and it was a nice light... More

Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff. Had a delicious lunch for 2 and didn't want to leave, so followed it with some homemade brownies. Lovely coffee and the decor is very sweet. Will definitely visit again.

We booked on 07/03/15 for a tasting menu which was advertised to run from 8-10pm. The whole event was woefully organised from start to finish. The first course was only served around 9.30pm, and the last course served after midnight. Some of the staff were only arriving at work at 8pm, at the same time we arrived. The maitre was... More

We showed up here on a Saturday with no reservations and it was completely booked. Thankfully there were a few spots left at the bar so we ended up dining there and it was a wonderful experience. The food is all locally sourced and absolutely delicious. I had the pumpkin risotto, my brother in law had a fish special and... More

Had a meal here with some friends and the food, coffee and wine were all delicious! Not cheap, but not very expensive for the great quality food. There was a small menu with just a choice of maybe 4 or 5 things for each course, but the choices were really varied and all looked amazing. The guy who seated us... More

Visited for Sunday brunch with friends recently. The menu is great - good amount of choice and good value as well. Have a look at the sweet treats and the deli style options inside the front door. Lots of take home options! Seating wasn't especially comfy, and space is tight, but that's an okay trade off for good food in... More

We were so delighted to have been given the recommendation for this gorgeous little restaurant. The lunch we had out of this world and the setting is cosy and comfortable and Nathan is a delight to deal with. Can't wait to make it back again sometime to sample their dinner menu. Top marks all around!
