Had been here once before and food & service were great so decided to go there again. Service was so slow. There was a number of staff behind the counter all they were interested in was who could go for a cigarette break and discussing the roster. We eventually got our mussels for starter and they were good. Went to... More

The worst fish I have ever tasted in my life. Tasted like it was washed in bleach. The chips were awful....half of them were bits and pieces.....inedible. To top it off i had a long blonde hair with the chips. Enter at your peril!!!

Really cannot understand the other good reviews. With only 5/6 tables the service should be flowing! Simple order: 1 person: 1 monkfish and chips, pan fried monkfish, first of all it took 10/15 mins, other tables were also waiting long time. Pan fried monkfish arrived covered in cream!? Who asked for cream, no flavour, we'll overlooked, simply disgusting!!

This is a great place to sample Galway's excellent local seafood without paying restaurant prices. If you don't feel like a take away, you can bring your own wine and eat inside a great option for people on a budget.

Was so disappointed. I cannot understand the great reviews. We had mussels, hamburgers and fish and chips. So below average. Fish not cooked fully and cold center. Burger average and mussels just ok. Go to McDonagh's. That was great!

We had a an excellent meal here. The furnishings are plain, but the food was excellent. Had Oysters, Roasted garlic crab claws that were really tasty, and some yummy fish stew. Would go back again in a minute.

We ate here late night and they were still busy. Very reasonably priced, freshly cooked, made to order food. Simple menu for a quick bite during late night hours.

we love seafood and we always eat fish twice or more a week and one of the occasions we love traditional fish and chips. We live in south Galway and we usually visit the Kettle of Fish shop in Gort, but we also visited the one in Galway as we love to grab the food and go and sit on... More
