Fabulous little restaurant with a great atmosphere

We spotted the galleon but there was no wheelchair access and my husband is a wheelchair user. There was a notice on the door stating they had ramps inside. Fantastic experience. I brought my parents who were visiting from Boston and the whole experience was really enjoyable. The food was excellent and the staff could not have been nicer. We will be back!

The food available was not the same as the menu provided in our hotel. We went here because we wanted to have Irish stew, only to find that it was not available. The pasta that my wife ordered was barely edible. The place was noisy, and crowded with tables too close together. All in all, it was a very poor... More

good quality meal with excellent service from the waiter. The meal was quick to come, and good value for money. This is a good all rounder restaurant for families and couples alike. There was a two course meal deal also which was good value too.

I visited the Galleon today as part of a family day in Salthill. Absolutely impressed with the place ..... used to go there when I was a child but hadn't been in many years. The same family run the restaurant I believe ....and their customer service is wonderful! The children were given a page for colouring which was entered in... More

We arrived early on a Thursday and didn't line up for long, by the end it was a full house so I'd suggest booking- especially if it's for more than two. Dinner was great, super filing, packed with flavour and cold tappys to was them down with. Worth a visit if you're in Galway.

We queque for 20 minutes on a Monday night and was disappointed with the food and service.First we were asked by our waiter Holly what drinks did we want,we had not even got a menu or wine list. I discovered they only sold wine by the glass or carafe no bottles. We ordered starter and got it in minutes. Our waiter... More
