We happened to try this restaurant when we were in Salthill. Are we ever glad we did! The seafood chowder was excellent; my husband had the roast beef - cut it with his fork, so tender. My fish was delicious with very light breading. But the customer service outshone even the tasty food. Even though it was busy, we were... More

Restaurant was busy when we arrived but we were seasted quickly and given menus. A good choice of offerings. The waiting staff were very friendly and even though very busy had time for some Irish banter. The food was fine for a spot of lunch and reasonably prticed

I have never come across somewhere that made me feel so uncomfortable. Get in get your dinner and get out - conveyor belt. Went about 5.30 got table straight away. Rushed over to take order - I like a little time to look at the menu. Starters served to the hubby very quickly. Main course took a while to come... More

Stopped for dinner around 6:30, and they still had the specials. For €17, you got a two course meal. The roast lamb plate was very good. The place was full...people are in and out fairly quickly. We even ran into our host from our B and B.

We were a large party and people came at all different times. The staff was cheerful, helpful and never stopped smiling. The food was wonderful. We all went back a second time and we're not disappointed.

We stood outside reading the sign saying 2 courses for €14.50, once inside and seated we were informed there is only 2 options to choose from which are specials and not great choices. Sly tacticts I must say on their behalf usin this sign. The menu then is over priced for the quality of food. Had a chicken curry which... More

I recently visited the Galleon in Salthill with a group of friends. We saw it was the only place around with a Que so we figured it would be the best place to eat- let me tell you it was worth the wait. I ordered off the two course menu which was great value and huge portions. I had the... More
