I walked through the tiny door thinking I was walking into a little Irish pub....boy! was I surprised! It seemed to go on forever, a pub style bar as you walk in the door, downstairs another bar and tables to sit at. go down another set of stairs into a restaurant, go up a different set of stairs to the... the live music was amazing. we got there early for a couple of pints and secured a seat to listen some amazing live irish music. This place had the best authentic irish music in any bar or restaurant we visited the entire time here.

We were walking around Galway and decided to stop for lunch because it looked like a great little Irish Pub right in the middle of the city. What a mistake! It was dirty and the food was horrendous. (We both had fish and chips). I was with my boyfriend and we both agreed to get out as soon as possible.... More

I had a decent meal here but it wasn't fantastic. I recommend the seafood chowder. It was the highlight. They have a fixed price menu that is a nice option to get a few different things.

I only had the soup and brown bread which was fine. It' s the cold pints and people watching that make this one of my favorite spots at the Quays. I stopped in 3 times during my recent visit to Galway. On my first night arriving in Ireland, I arrived around 3pm and didn't leave until 10pm. Had a great... More

When we walked in, I thought this would be the quintessential Irish pub. That may be the case for drinks only, but the food is down right awful. Don't be fooled by the 2-course special offer. The food is absolutely from freezer bags; like hospital/nursing home cafeteria freezer bags. We took two bites of our dishes (questionable turkey and yellow... More

After a long day's drive we went into The Quay to grab some food and it was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The food tasted like something you would buy in the Walmart freezer aisle, but only after it's been refrozen and reheated. I only give them one star because I cannot put anything lower. We left after... More

Staff is professionally polite, at best. They appear more occupied with operations than serving or selling. Generous portions of food don't compensate for so-so quality. If you're part of a group planning to talk, eat and drink the night away, go there. If you want a great meal, there are lots of great places in Galway.

We had a great experience here. We each ate a dozen oysters, and I, who had been only drinking half-pints of Guinness, had to have another half-pint! Great oysters and great service.

Went with several people and no one liked their food. The turkey was served with 3 starches. 2 potato dishes and stuffing. There was hardly any turkey just starches. The Spring rolls were so greasy they were inedible . The salads were not Fresh. The food when served did not even look good. I went to another restaurant afterwards to get... More
