I visited the quays for lunch and a few drinks, however we were all very disappointed with the events. Over 100 people in business group descended on Quays for dinner on a weeknight. Just FANTASTIC -- great staff -- engaging and attentive. Got the oysters, stew and lemon tart out efficiently while keeping the Guinness and wine flowing continuously. The best part was the live music -- live singers, two groups plus the Irish dancers -- just magical. Stayed... More

We had been following a list of recommended locations from a local friend and were doing great until we went "off list" checking out this place on our own (without checking any reviews) - the food was a great disappointment. The pub itself appeared to be a busy place. The restaurant not so much - that should have been our... More

The Quays is a brilliant place for a night out. The pub itself is on many levels and has a neat atmosphere. It's a great place to check out on a night in Galway. I really enjoyed the live music. I was here for a Christmas party and honestly wasn't all that impressed with the food. By no means was... More

Went with friends and expected traditional good Irish pub grub, god were we mistaken. The food was disgusting, we ordered the Irish stew which looked like dog food and didn't taste much better. It was the worst food I have ever paid for in Ireland. I wouldn't recommend this bar to anyone for food. We also got bad pints of... More

I walked through the tiny door thinking I was walking into a little Irish pub....boy! was I surprised! It seemed to go on forever, a pub style bar as you walk in the door, downstairs another bar and tables to sit at. go down another set of stairs into a restaurant, go up a different set of stairs to the... the live music was amazing. we got there early for a couple of pints and secured a seat to listen some amazing live irish music. This place had the best authentic irish music in any bar or restaurant we visited the entire time here.

We were walking around Galway and decided to stop for lunch because it looked like a great little Irish Pub right in the middle of the city. What a mistake! It was dirty and the food was horrendous. (We both had fish and chips). I was with my boyfriend and we both agreed to get out as soon as possible.... More

I had a decent meal here but it wasn't fantastic. I recommend the seafood chowder. It was the highlight. They have a fixed price menu that is a nice option to get a few different things.
